Best Smartwatches (2022) That Aren't The Apple Watch | Top Watches Reviewed
Ғылым және технология
Reviewing the best smartwatches of 2022 to suit any budget, focusing on Wear OS and Android users rather than the Apple Watch. From Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and the Google Pixel to the greatest affordable options, here's my top 12 smartwatches right now for fitness tracking, battery life and more.
The fresh Google Pixel Watch is certainly one of my favourites for Android smartphone pairing. You've got impressive features like turn-by-turn navigation and that Google Assistant works well. However, the battery runs dry every day, so the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will suit you better if you're always on the go. Especially as that Sammy smartwatch is more durable.
I've reviewed the Pro as well as the regular Samsung Watch 5, plus big rivals like the Huawei Watch GT3 which delivers even better battery life. That's certainly one of the greatest options in 2022 for longevity, along with the Amazfit GTR4. Although their notification support, app selection etc isn't as good as the Pixel Watch or those Galaxy watches.

Just bought my dad the GT3 for Xmas. Was in Currys and checked it side by side with the gt2 pro and the 3, seemed to have a brighter and clearer screen. Hopefully he will like it
I was hopping to the the Tag Heuer connected E4 on the list, great review thanks
New sub here & really enjoy your vids. Funny & informative…great combo! A question please mate, I’m a metal detectorist & looking for a watch that is rugged, good GPS & most importantly is compatible with Apple iOS. I don’t like the Apple Watches but do have iPhone 14 Pro, so ideally want the watch to work with the phone. Any tips or guidance would be hugely appreciated! Thanks so much, & Merry Christmas, Marcus
Really wish Pixel offered a rugged model with a larger battery and protection around the screen. Its currently a no go for active lifestyles and people who have hands on trades.
Just got a galaxy watch 4 40mm bundled with a Samsung dual wireless chargers for £170. 40mm is plenty big enough and yes only lasts a day but I would have taking it off during the time I charge it anyway. Compared to just getting a watch 5 or any other smartwatch, this was a great deal!!!
Have you gotten the Amazfit Falcon? It intrigues me.
I'm loving the Amazfit GTR 4. Amazing battery life, responsive screen - bright enough for outside usage, notifications are fine (can't respond directly on the watch but that's ok), lightweight, and although you're stuck with their watch faces, there are some good ones.

Hello, used my GTR4 for one month and sent it back to Amazon. Very good watch, in my opinion one of the best alternatives for iPhone users, the battery life is awesome. But the Heart Rate monitor was very inaccurate, long spikes up to 180 with duration of 15-20 minutes, a bit tricky support from Amazfit. Maybe it was the issue with my particular watch, because the overall impression was very good, also I think the GTR 4 version with Sapphire glass and titanium case is missing, because the alu case is weak for any sport activity. Meanwhile I will use my old Garmin and I will try Xiaomi Watch S2 when it comes to Europe.

Personally I am happy I upgraded from the GTR4 to a real sports watch from Garmin. Het Amazit ecosysteem wasn't mature enough and the censors inaccurate.
Love your reviews…thank you.
Any idea when the GTS4 will be available in Ireland and the UK ? Can't seem to find it :(
Hi, is the Fossil Gen 6 really that bad after the wear os 3 update?
Nice one, thanks. If you have not already done it, how about a video of "standalone" smartwatches" whereby a sim card can be inserted into the watch to receive and make phone calls without having a smartphone on the body. I went for the ZEBLAZE THOR 5 and it works very well indeed. I use it when running mainly in case of emergency The GPS is very fast!
Will you be reviewing the Huawei Mate 50 Pro? Was just released today in the UK.
My favorite smartwatch is the Xiaomi watch S1. It is truly amazing!
How would you miss Oppo Watch 3 pro with a curved display and rotating crown mate?
I'm still rocking a original Huawei watch which to me is still one of the better looking watches out there.
I had the first lg smartwatch, loved it. Then moved on to a fossil, then a galaxy watch active, now I have a pixel watch. Despite it not being the absolute pinnacle in wearables I think it will suit me fine for what I need it for.

Can you do best budget smart watches 2022?
Is there standalone watch that has offline map that can either create route for walking, holds charge with GPS for day or two and without GPS and fancy features week or more? Flashlight would be nice to have, ECG would be cool to have but don't care for "fitness" part.

Have you done a review of the Oppo watch by any chance?
I am looking to purchase a smart watch for an elderly parent to allow them monitor vitals and to make\answer calls. Also fall detection as they have not been to steady on their feet lately. They have an Oppo Android phone so that rules out Samsung and Apple for all their health features. I have narrowed the options down to Huawei Watch 3 and the Amazfit GTR 4. which would be best or even another watch with the below. I am particularly looking for these health features and not any sport modes. * Hearth rate notifications * Spo2 * Fall detection * Sleep tracking * Make\answer calls
No Garmin watches again?? I have a Fenix 7 SS and its brilliant. You think 5 days of battery life is good in the reviews? I get 16 days out of the Fenix.

I'm surprised you didn't mention any Garmin watches. I have the Venu 2 Plus and it's a great smartwatch. It has lots of good smartwatch features - like the ability to take calls on your wrist - but also great battery life. I recently wore it on holidays for 8 days and didn't have to charge it once.

@@_Makanko_ I think app support is a bit limited but then I rarely use any apps on my watch so can't be sure. I mostly monitor my steps/stairs, check my notifications and sometimes take calls. Garmin pay is available on the watch but unfortunately is not supported by my bank so I haven't been able to use it. The only thing that bugs me slightly is the charging cable which is finicky and keeps disconnecting from the laptop/PC if the watch isn't completely still.

"Tougher than a Wetherspoons lamb chop". Well I'm sold.
hello techsport, the start of the smartwatch with the time was the apple watch - released in 2014. but, the fitbit was opened for two bluetooth connections on the apple and google mobile systems for graphs / measures / hours active. it was fun watching the numbers show how my body was like an automobile - moving to not moving, how come moving so fast at this hour, or where she was moving or not moving. sitting in an office seat from 9 to 5 - the distance travel was not that interesting until it made an adventure on the weekend with the fitbit. think the smartwatch was for taking calls and talking like james bond on your wrist or listening to music from bluetooth from the wrist. elle for square watch
just ordered the ticwatch pro 3 ultra, I've had the ticwatch s2 for about a year but I can tell its getting a bit slower and I'm not always getting notifications which is annoying especially at work because its useful to see teams messages without taking my phone out of my pocket, the larger screen and battery life is what sold me on it

Don't get me wrong, the smart band 7 pro is descent I'd say, but not at all what I expected from it. I'd rather spend a little more and get over double the features (I find the smart band waaaay overpriced, especially compared to the popular smart bands which cost less than half the price of the pro model)

How did you completely miss Garmin watches? My Fenix 7X goes for almost a month before charging and it charges from the sun and doesn't have a ridiculously power hungry screen. Any watch that needs to be charged every couple of days is not even worthy of consideration when we wear smart watches to track our sleep. Eliminate all the watches that need charging every 3 days or less and you'll have plenty of space to cover the Garmin range
