Best Smart Sensor Hygrometers:
As we explained in our overview of cigar hygrometers (link above), you probably understand the importance of accurate devices.
[01:24] Boveda Smart Sensor
Our favourite device is the Boveda Smart Sensor, which comes with a calibration kit and four humidity packs. At $50, it offers exceptional value for money.
You can calibrate it using a 1-step process, which provides a 2.5% humidity variance. However, you can also use Boveda's 2-step calibration kit that will get this down to 1.5%, which makes for the most accurate device in our list.
Unlike the other devices, Boveda is only bluetooth enabled. However, this provides a 100-foot range and can be paired with an idle device at home, which can serve as a WiFi gateway if necessary.
Additionally, the app will track the history of your humidor for up to 10 days, which allows you to see its history for both temperature and humidity.
The Boveda Smart Sensor is the only device that doesn't offer measurements with a point scale. However, we weren't convinced that this would be a necessary addition for storing cigars.
[05:00] SensorPush Smart Hygrometer:
Like the Boveda device, the SensorPush retails at $50. However, it doesn't come with a calibration kit.
Out of the box, it offers a variance of 3% but can be reduced with calibration.
Furthermore, a dedicated WiFi Gateway can be purchased to allow readings at a distance.

[07:00] CigSor Smart Hygrometer:
As the most expensive and premium option on this list, the CigSor is an impressive device.
Made from metal with AA batteries, it also offers its own WiFi connection, which can be advantageous for those in a connected home. However, it doesn't come with bluetooth, which means that it can't be used when travelling or when your cigars are somewhere without a WiFi connection.
The CigSor is precalibrated out of the box and provides a variance of 2% accuracy. However, we're unsure if it can be calibrated. Nevertheless, it was offering only a 0.8% deviation when tested.
Furthermore, the app has a subscription service after the first year unlike the Boveda and SensorPush.
Being quite large, the CigSor might be inconvenient for those who have limited space.
