Excellent review. Thank you. After owning very large Class A’s and five slide fifth wheels, I too am focusing on a much smaller unit. In my research so far the Unity MB tops the list. Even though I agree with your comments about slide out challenges I prefer that floor plan to the Wonder MB which is my current second choice. I’m also battling with the challenge of transporting several SUP boards without having to pull a trailer. Two late model E Bikes will suffice for around town transpiration. I’ll be following your future reviews with great interest and once again thank you!

We love our 2018 LTV Unity MB. Been RVing for 20 years, LTV is very high quality. Only needed some minor parts so far, but they arrived in a few days, no questions asked. Everything is well thought out, even the places not seen are well done, clean. Anyone interested in LTV should check the owner forums and compare to forums for other brands. Use a large sample size over the unfortunate experience if one owner.

I can come back and still have a living space without putting the bed up. My wife hates when i do that when she's sleeping. Lol. I also find the seats the most comfortable for driving. Best of luck with your hunt.

Good vid and we are also gathering data for an under 26' Class C for ease of driving and accessibility everywhere. Navion is high on our short list. You have probably already found your next rig by now but here are a couple of things we learned: 1. Adding a recirculating hot water system is pretty simple and could be done in any rig for around $200. You can also put it on a 10 minute timer so when you wake up just push the button, and by the time you are ready to wash hands and face the hot water is at the tap. 2. An articulating TV mount could also be added to any rig for around $200 which allows you to store the TV conveniently and pull it down to eye level when watching. Buy a rig based on floorplan, storage, and build quality. The little conveniences can always be added later at very low cost. See you out on the road!

We have the Unity Leisure travel van. The window behind the bed when it is down is a god send because when you travel, and it gets warm, you are going to want that window open when you are in bed. I know there is A/C, but I prefer the fresh air instead. The window may not be for everyone, but my husband and I enjoy having it. The bathroom shower is awesome. There is plenty of space in it. All in all, we love the van because it is convenient when traveling, and small enough to get into tight spots. Setting the bed up is not difficult at all either. It takes about 5 minutes to take the cushions off and pull the bed down. The stove top area is small, but with some practice, you will learn how to utilize the space without losing your mind:) For us, we wanted the bathroom space and the theater seating, that is why we chose this model.

Except they were a combo class B's and C's. Class B's like the Leisure vans are waaaay more expensive then C's for what you get. I would get the Coachman Prism. I love how you get multiple views with the TV. Leprechaun also is a good choice if you don't want a Mercedes diesel. Coachman Orion for a Ford Transit.

A couple of thoughts: - The big advantage of a separate bed from dinette is for 2 people, one can stay in bed while the other has somewhere to sit/eat/work. - A shower is only used a few mins a day! So dedicating a space for it doesn't really make sense IMO. I put a shower in the doorway of my van, so when not in use it takes up no space.

Agree 100% with Mercedes-Benz diesel. Had many many problems with it and no entity would take ownership of the engineering disaster. Finally drove it on one of its "good engine days" and traded it in. The first time the dealership took a buyer prospect for a test drive--you guessed it--the engine failed and the courtesy van had to come haul the group back to the showroom!

Good review, you are focusing on what would be my choice, the MB affords you more floor space "during the day". That works well when you have pets. Slide vs. no slide, I agree regarding the efficiency factor, heating/cooling, and if something fails. Dry bath is a must, been there, done that with a wet bath. Kitchen is important too, need cutting board space. The Wonder MB is a leader for layout, and the quality is there. The Ford Transit chassis is fine with me with all of the premium options, I think that is all Leisure uses. The TB is also great, towing however is very limited for weight due the the garage feature which I really like for bikes.

I have 2015 Navion and I love the slides, it gives you so much more room. Mine slides don’t leak air hot, cold or water. One of the few and I mean few gripes I have about it is the Propane and Fuel tank. I get a 13-15 miles per gallon on diesel fuel so it last only about 300 miles till you need to start looking for fuel. The propane tank is small as well. If you run the generator with ac and fridge going one day or less is your tank limit. Other than that I would recommend a Navion. Those aren’t huge problems for me but others should consider those things.

Keep in mind that the Wonder by LTV does not have ducted AC. I’ve been in all the models you’ve posted, and while the LTV Unity has the best interior build quality, the Winnebago View is built on a raised rail offering more storage and a vast dealer network - and will cost you thousands less. Also , LTV uses outrigger construction on floor which reduces storage - and they have a very small dealer network. Things will go wrong no matter what product you buy so you need a good dealer network. Winnebago sells more in this class than all the others combined - for a reason.

Steve Longobardi - But? With a unit UNDER 25 feet would ducting honestly make a difference. Also, The units reviewed I assume come with thermostat climate control. Of course WE are discussing Murphy bed models. These units only have one separate room. The Bath. Secondly: Most RV dealerships include in the deal a Warranting ALL bumper to bumper coverage offered anywhere USA at any RV repair facility. I would suggest Parts are more of a concern than factory authorized service. I am also reminded that every livable luxury device in a motor-coach comes with its OWN manufacture warranty. This is independent of say Winnebago or Unity warranty as what do these manufactures actually produce on their own? The Frame? Example Domestic? Comes with its OWN warranty. Not the Motor Coach making... Inverter? Warrantied only from ITS manufacturer.

I did watch creative RV video. Very compelling account of her REAL experience. Too many people are sugar coating the RV experience. I started in a Please-way Van then owned a Safari Trek for 6 years - and those experiences were a nightmare and ended our RV travels. Both were purchased "new" and many trips cancelled due to problems. Bottom line ......the problem with motor-homing is the motor-home itself. Make sure you buy from a US company that has a long warranty and great service record - and be prepared to spend many days getting things fixed. The term "shakedown" has become an accepted excuse for shoddy workmanship. They leave it up to the customer - " after the purchase" - to start the long arduous process of getting things fixed. Proceed with caution !!

Yes I agree, it's a shame manufacturers aren't making RV's with better quality from the get go, but there isn't a manufacturer out there that doesn't have some type of problems. I think when you RV you should go in knowing there will be repairs and things will break. People know with homes that maintenance, upgrades, and repairs are a part of it. I think the assumption with RV's should be the same. Especially considering this house goes down a bumpy road with pot holes and can go up to 70 mph! We appreciate videos like hers where they share their story, but I also can't let one person's experience ruin a brand or manufacturer when there are other people out there who have loved their LTV's with few problems. We've had a ton of issues with our Grand Design but we're not saying Grand Design is a bad company or producing bad trailers. It's definitely something to know before you buy, we didn't and we're very surprised our first year. But I would hate for someone to not do it because of these videos. - Liz

The thing about the Mercedes they are so very complicated and when they do break down they are SO expensive and hard to fix!! There aren’t that many places that will fix them and the part are hard to find and expensive too. It is a diferent story if you lived in Germany, they build better quality over there and parts are way cheaper. If you look at Fords any dealer can work on them and they have refined their truck/van engines over the years and people that have Ford diesels love them, just watch the YT Channel “Keep Your Daydream” they love their diesel truck. I watch another YT channel where a mechanic called Scotty Kilmer: kzread.info/dron/uxpxCCevIlF-k-K5YU8XPA.html. And if the space problem isn't bad enough, you have to wipe everything down in the bath area so you don't wind up with mildew and mold eventually...I'll shower outside in my birthday suit, rather than deal with that mess! I subbed to yall too. The second RV has no drawer storage in the kitchen...so where do you put cooking utensils and silverware?? All of these "wrongs" do not make living in an RV comfortable at all...you have the space...UTILIZE IT IN THE CORRECT PLACES. I don't terribly mind the murphy bed, but I would far prefer to have a bed that I don't have to fold up every day...I mean I am going to be living fulltime in this rig. Yes, ALL RV's NEED A PANTRY! I've also noticed that the cabover's (I honestly I love the idea)...but, I have noticed that most of them wind up with structural problems after a while....so the space would be better utilized as storage space. I agree too about storage under dinettes benches...put drawers in them instead...you can make them full length; it's far easier and more accessible to retrieve things from a pull out drawer than to have to pull up cushions to access it and most likely disturb someone already sitting there comfortable...I wouldn't mind as much if they did lift-up storage under the loveseat or couch, but NOT under the dinette. Nope, I don't want a split mattress for sleeping on anything...period...I want to be comfortable and I wouldn't want pieces of my bed, shifting around at night...come on, designers...use your minds, please. Sometimes, I get the impression that designers of RVs live on Mars or something...they have never lived in conventional housing or RVs...that's for sure...otherwise, their designs would be far better. There is also one other HUGE problem...I noticed this when "tiny houses" first were on the market...PRICE...This RV also costs $60,000 more than my current home did...I live in a very safe and nice neighborhood, in a 3 bedroom home...original cost was $80,000, just 10 years ago. It is way too big for me, but at the time, it was the best option for safety, with me being alone...my realtor was a long-time realtor and friend, who insisted on safety first...thank you, Jake!

Do not believe ALL you see on KZread. I know several people that own the MBZ and are very happy. Its not for me and I guess you have decided against it yet many do like them.

We have a 2011 Winnebago, Access Premier, 26' with a full time bed, full time dinette and a very good kitchen. For us, I cant see doing the up/down bed thing which really kicks into the problem area when one of you is not well and needs the bed and the other... well I guess you sit outside. I also agree with the person that addressed the smaller clean water tanks on these newer models. You must of course look at the gains and losses for each one. Thanks for the vid, nice.

It sounds like this couple needs to visit a custom RV manufacturer and not just a manufacturer that puts out cookie cutter RV's.

I agree, all they are doing is complaining on what they don't like on each model, it's exhausting to hear them nit pick...they should just have one made for them on exactly the items they want.

i wouldn't call any shower "big" unless it passes "wash your feet" test. If it doesn't pass that test for a fat guy I'd call it standing coffin.

I like the Navion/ View 24D where the dinette is available with the bed down. Also for those times when putting out the slide isn't doable I can crash on the over cab bunk.
