The Tweaky volcano is a representation of the old Boston City Hospital banks. I skated that and many other Boston hot spots back in the day like the C bowl and the steel ramps. I also skated this park when it was Fresh and clear of any graffiti. I have to say the local paint punks really fucked it up! So firkin sad to see what has become of it.

I’m 42 and born at the Boston city hospital. I remember whenever I had a Doctors appointment. I would stop and watch the skaters and riders. Eventually I started riding BMX and rollerblading.

@@myboy051 i’m 55 so there’s a good chance you were watching me and my crew. Skating around Boston and Cambridge in the early 80s was so gritty compared to how it is now, but I met so many cool people. The thing I loved about skating then and now was that all skaters are colorblind, and I never experienced any racism even though I was a long-haired skinny white boy. I’m just glad I got a chance to skate Lynch Park while it was still fresh and before I blew my ACL out in the half pipe at Rye skate park eight years ago, and I was especially happy to see that they’re still is no racism amongst skaters.

I remember that spot, but my go to was Turtles in the day except in the summer you couldn't skate it as the ground got too soft 😂

I don't know if I've seen those in person or if they're still there (the hospital merged in 1996), but they did a tribute to them in the Boston level of Tony Hawk's Underground 2, nice to know of the real inspiration to this park and the game! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iIeq09WIkrO0lZc.htmlfeature=shared&t=65

I did a little cruising in the city but spent most of my time at the park. Would love to go back and skate Boston street

It’s actually in Cambridge, not Boston. The best skate park in Boston is the skate park at the Reservation Road Skatepark. Which is known as locally as Hyde Park skate park.

Place needs a good sand blasting. Great park and great features. Looks like a giant puke on it. Keep it clean and tell the non skater dump rats to camp elsewhere. It took a long time and a lot of hard work to make that skatepark happen. 20 plus years

Somehow skateboarding not for the last 10 years but since 1986 I feel like that place got absolutely trashed and destroyed by graffiti been probably also homeless people. I'll still come down there if anyone challenges and then do a easiest trick I know which would be a fakey inward hill flip backside crooked grind or whatever the hell it's called
