"Nothing works as good as you think it will".... a paraphrase from Sun Tzu's Art of War "No battle plan survives intact after first contact with the enemy". Well said my friend. Think the best, expect the worst.

Great stuff Kevin (as usual). I'm an official for several sports: high school Football (Friday Night Lights), Basketball (and DII) Volleyball, and Flag Football. But I also do (what's called) Travel Basketball tournaments all over the states for AAU, Nike, Under Armor, FILA, USSSA to name a few. It's here that I encounter sooooooo many confrontations / aggressive encounters with couches and mostly PARENTS. It also happens during the AYFL (football games for ages 5yrs old - 15). In the 8 yrs of me doing officiating I cant tell you how frequently / common these confrontations occur (sad to say) and WE DON'T HAVE / GET PROTECTION. So your lessons (and 2 others) give me tools to deal with many situations that arise. And most commonly it's more than 1 person I'm encountering at once. I'm 5'8", 158lbs, have always been able to handle myself in aggressive situations. 95% of the time these people are taller and heavier than I. BUT your training videos have prepared me so much more. As someone who unfortunately HAS TO deal with this, I study what you provide routinely. Thank you and I look forward to more vids.😮

The straight blow (thrusting blow), hanging blow (backfist), backhanded blow, spade blow (uppercut, scooper blow), hook blow (hook), whip blow, chopping blow, rake blow are also the ultimate destroyers of swinging blow (swing), roundhouse blow in unlimited mixed martial arts and mixed martial arts. 😃🍵🍔👏🙏🌭🍵😄

Regarding a haymaker punch, I got shirt grabbed by someone three times my weight. He threw a haymaker from his left, crushing his hand, but the middle of my front teeth felt slightly split somehow. Luckily, everything turned out okay for me (I am some sort of rock hard haha), but this scenario could happen to anyone. What could we- / what would you do?

Beginner question, why is it not idea to move backwards in a fight? Isn’t it good to avoid getting hit and to prepare you to run away?

Hey Kevin, what if the punch is a straight right and not a looping right? Not allowing you to step forward, otherwise youre stepping into a straight right

There are many things to do with the straight punch. He’s demonstrating a hook punch for something like that you’re gonna want to step to the left or to the right whether he’s left-handed or right handed right handed shift both feet to the right and Perry that inward opposite side from there, you can follow up with a punch to the face rake to his eyes web hands , or you can put both hands in a V and drop and thrust you hands into the kidney or your elbows to the kidneys there’s a lot of things you can do, but this is designed only for a haymaker punches.

Excellent teaching … BUT Kevin since you are always twice as big as your opponent calls into question that your technique will only work on someone smaller than ourselves.
