I realise this is subjective, but whats the internet for if not opnions? :) The Best slot layout for a Freighter is either 2+2, ideally in 2 columns, or a column of 3 and a single The reason for this is, the Best use of those slots is NOT Hyperdrive, the best use is Expedition Efficiency (Navigation Units) and/or Expedition Speed (Long Range Transmitters) They kinda speak for themselves but one reduces Fuel costs so that it costs almost nothing to send your Frigates on missions, the other speeds up the time they take Personally i prefer Fuel Costs over Speed, you can noly do 5 missions daily so Speed only helps if you play for a short-ish time each day Free Fuel means of course it costs you nothing to send the Frigates out and everything they bring back is pure profit Also people need to learn how to deploy their Fleet, my Fleet is made up of only Trade, Explorers Industrials and Raiders (Pirates) Every mission should consist of 2 of the Mission type and 1 of each of the others Always send 5, that way 5 get XP and Level Up fast Only ever buy Frigates that have as close to zero/zero in Expeditions Completed and Times Damaged Ideally buy Frigates that have more than 19 in their prime Stat, but better than that buy ones that have 1, 2 or 3 in other stats, the ideal Frigate will have 21-22 in their primary, and 2 or 3 in the other 3 stats - this takes some farming and reloading Only ever buy C-Class, anything else is a waste of money and cannot grow to be better as it levels If you do missions every day your fleet will be S-Class inside a month anyway, and theyll be so much better than any S-Class you can buy already S Other people have other methods, each to their own, this works well for me, my Fleet brings me 5-10 million credits every day, plus all sorts of resources (most can be made into Stasis Devices etc), its all free, its all passive, just takes you 2 mins sending them out each day and 2 mins bringing them back in Now i know someone will say you can hunt a Sentinel ship and scrap it in 4 minutes and earn more But the Fleet goods also complete your catalogue with the weird oddities that Explorers and Traders find, plus theyll bring you ores and metals and other stuff Finally, and this is just me saying "Nee-ner" the Best Freighter doesnt have a hideious Docking bay entry colour, choose a system that has Greys, blacks, whites, so that the inside of your docking bay and the outside are 1 solid colour or 2 decent loking colours (black/yellow, black/red etc) Because Style matters 🤪 Hope some people can learn from this, feel free to use and re-use any of this, its not specifically "mine" it was learned from many different people and my own experiences over 12k hours If anyone should want to turn it into a guide, go for it, i dont require credit for it, but it might be nice

So, do you have to defeat this one to get it? Cause I've not had much luck when it comes to beating pirate ships, they always warp away, even if i've taken out their engines.

Yes. As soon as you take out its shields and health, you can enter it and seize the ship. Just don’t blow it up haha

No, just get the health low and you will be promoted to board it.

Attack it until the health is low, you will get a message on the health bar of the ship stating it is now boardable.

@@mikeuk666 I just swoop in take out 1 gun corridor, pop out and into next, pop out the end, turn on engines, wipe them out, board it.

So once you get to the system, how do you get it to spawn? I have already setup the 3 hour playtime so when I teleport there and than warp away, i get another cutscene for a freighter battle. Do I need to just start all over again and wait the 3 hours to warp back? Ok, I figured out a system to warp to without conflict, came back and it was a C-class.. Like is this not a definite S-class?

Best thing to do, or at least what I would probably do, is warp to the nearest system (use your current freighter) so you don’t trigger the spawn. Then jump back into the system with your fighting ship to take on the battle.

I think it may not be exclusive per system with the dreadnoughts cause class and slots changes every reload

Each class will have a diff set up, but this is the S version.

@@driakunapontinox7754 it’s there, it’s rng. Farming for freighters can be a lot of reloading. But as the video shows, it does exist, other users have successfully got the S too and posted it in discord.

You just reload the save, and you will be back to where you last got out of your ship or made a manual save.

It's a C class for me 😕

You need to reload the save and do the jump again, that is how you farm them, each time it can change, you might get the S on the first.. second or 30th jump. Rng is rng
