🔥 Best RV BBQ Grill EVER• No more BOTTLES OF PROPANE

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

One of things we all like to do while camping in our RV is BBQ grilling…..RIGHT?
Picking the right RV BBQ Grill that is easy to store, easy to set up, has a small foot print, is light weight and is super reliable is an important choice. In this RV Best RV Grill Video, I’m going to cover the best RV BBQ Grill we chose to purchase and why. I've also added a POWER TIP on how to install an Extend-A-Stay Propane Adapter, so you can use your onboard propane and not have to lug around a bunch of small portable propane bottles taking up more space, more weight and another thing to buy all the time.

    We’ve been using the same grill for almost 7 years. We love it. We bought a cast iron flat griddle that we interchange with the grill so we can cook bacon and pancakes in the morning! We also bring a small 3 gallon propane tank so we can barbecue away from the coach on the picnic table.

    Love this channel. Lots of great info. Wiper blades are a lot of money these days. Go to a big box home improvement store and get a piece of pipe insulation and cut it to length. When parked put them on your wipers. They look like gray swimming pool noodles. I put them on my car to see if they would stay on, I only got up to 90 and they never moved.

    I have a friend that did this too. Regularly. Them he ran into a strong cross wind while underway, it caught those noodles on the wipers and tore the entire assembly off his windshield. We cover our blades but only when sitting still for periods of time.

    Always like your videos, Martin. I had a quick connect installed on my on-board propane tank. I had it installed on the side after the regulator. Thus the propane supply to my grill is low pressure. And instead of a grill I use a 22” Blackstone table-top griddle. I find it a lot more versatile than a grill. I do almost all of the cooking outside on the griddle. I like keeping the heat (and odors) from cooking outside of the coach. With the optional lid, I can even bake on it. Mostly biscuits for breakfast. Keep the videos coming. I am learning a lot from you. Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday.

    I have an attachable gas grill that came with my Okanagan Truck Camper. Used it once in 8 years. Don't like gas BBQ, simple as that. I bought a cheap suitcase hibachi type thing and that's the way I go. Cooked up a Pork Roast and some chicken thighs last night, with two baked po-ta-toes (Samwise Gamgee). Also, two ears of corn with some good beer. God Bless!

    We have the same grill and have had it for several years ( i have always had weber grills at home and love them), i am ready to replace it as i've had problems with it recently because it has been hard to light. the thing that i have never been happy with is the fact that on the lowest setting i feel it is too hot, so i'm going to explore other options.

    Great vid! I really enjoy watching and learning tips from you. My wife searched all over the area, to no avail, for the 2200 Weber for Father’s Day. Those things are as scarce as a unicorn right now. Fortunately, that allowed me to do more research. I’ve opted for a 2-burner for better control and more flexibility. I think for my cooking style, I will be happier. Its also 6-8 weeks back ordered for the same reason the weber is. You did solve a huge conundrum for me however with the extend a stay! That is exactly what I have been looking for to avoid carrying extra propane for the same reason you described. I will be ordering that this week! Thanks! Btw, nice diver!

    RVstreet the weber 1200 is available. The 2200 is the scarce one. BBQ GUYS in Baton Rouge says its due to import issues. But the dual burner Napoleon Q285 is the game changer for me. I do mostly indirect bbqing and im willing to sacrifice a little more real estate in storage to be able to cook that way. If you know of a smaller 2 burner or even a deflector for the weber, I am still not completely committed!

    I like your videos but can't agree on the grill! That thing is great if you are not really cooking. A proper RV grill is a Traeger Ranger or GMG Davy Crockett pellet grill. Those little propane grills are fine for short, high heat cooks.

  • @RVstreet

    @RVstreet

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well Jerold, I respectfully disagree with you and here's why. The title of this video is "Best RV BBQ Grill". I probably can think of 10 BBQ Grills and smokers that are way better than what I suggested here. But when you're full timing in an RV, storage area, weight and everything else you need to carry with you to have a better grill are very important things folks need to think about,. Your suggestions are good but...when full timing and you take everything with you to live all the time it's just not practical to have a more complex grill and accessories. I've cooked some awesome meals on this grill. Not just short high heat cooking meals. Now if a person or couple has a permanent RV lot and sits there all the time and doesn't move all the time, then you're suggestions makes sense. Peace brother. 😝

    Hey Martin, it appears that when you installed the new setup that you replaced the existing hose from the existing tank regulator up to the manifold and added a 90 degree elbow. I assume that the added fittings for the Extend-A-Stay moved the connection too close to the side wall. I have a similar situation. I was wondering what you used for that part of the installation.

    The extra hose comes with the Extend-A-Stay kit. You simply snap in the hose into the Quick Disconnect at the newly installed Extend-A-Stay kit at the propane tank and then the other end screws into the Grill regulator.

    I have the same setup as you, extend a stay, hose, and Webber Q1200 grille. I had to replace the regulator on the grill twice in the first year because I believe the regulator got gummed up with oil from the tank and hose. I love the grill, don’t want to depend on the little green tanks, so I’ve got to fix this. Mr Heater makes a propane filter that screws right into the grill, and the hose screws into the filter. Spoke with a Mr Heater tech and he said this filter will prevent the regulator from getting oil buildup. I will know in a few months if this worked. Does anyone else have this problem or used this filter?

  • @RVstreet

    @RVstreet

    2 жыл бұрын

    Good advice David. That Mr. Heater propane filter sounds like a good idea because oil build up in the hose therefore in the regulator does happen. I haven't had a problem with my grill regulator but I'm going to get one too and add it to my Amazon Store. Great idea David. Hose needs to be cleaned periodically too. Both of these are considered PM items.
