The brass pieces are the Adjustable Shafts on the bead rollers which allow you to move the die either forward or backwards, allowing for more customization in the roll profile created. Some Bead Rolls (like our new LAZZE Bead Rolls and the majority of Jamey Jordan Bead Rolls) are actually designed to be used with adjustable shaft machines primarily. If you shoot Jamey a message on Instagram I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any other questions!

Hi I'm just beginning to learn how to bead roll because I'm just a beginner and one budget I couldn't afford such a nice machine like yours. So I bought the nicest one I could from Eastwood. The hand crank version. But their dies are mostly sold in sets . Do MB dies fit the Eastwood roller ?? I believe theirs is a 22mm shaft . Is this the MB size ??

Our bead roll dies are designed for our 3/4' inch shafts, so everyone of our dies will fit all of our machines. We have heard of folks being able to get our dies fit onto other machines, but cannot guarantee they will fit or perform properly on any other machines than our own. Thanks a lot for messaging us, let us know of any other questions!

Those pieces on the shaft are adjustable collars made specifically for our Jamey Jordan Series Bead Rollers. They allow the bead roll to be moved forward or rear for more piece customization. 202-022 is the part number for the 24" roller, and 202-061 is the Adjustable Shaft upgrade for our 36" roller. Thanks!

Both of the Bead Roll Die Sets featured in this video are steel sets. The Maximum Capacity of the material you are bead rolling depends on what bead roller machine you are using and what it's motors capacity limits are. The machine featured in this video (#202-36NV-B) has a Max Capacity of: 16Ga (.059") Mild Steel / 14Ga (.064") Aluminum / 22Ga (.031") Stainless Steel.

If I did that, I'd have a potato chip for a panel. I wonder if it's because I'm using aluminum.

In this example, the step roll around the edge does a lot to stiffen up the aluminum panel so the round beads in the center don't distort the panel so much. In addition, pay careful mind to your pressures as putting too much pressure in all at once will cause more flexing. Try some lighter passes and maybe even multiple passes if need be. And of course, using the ole reverse the panel over the leg to straighten a bit between passes can help as well.
