I have looked at both these motorhomes. Yes, the Renegade did appear to have better finishes but had a lower CCC. Low CCC is a BIG DEAL. I’ve owned 8 motorhomes, 250,000 miles and 800 LBs CCC is NOT acceptable. , I live in the southwest. We get high temps. My lithium batteries and solar MUST be supplemented by a generator when it’s 100 degrees +. So no generator is a deal breaker for us. Thank you for your video.

@@anthonyb2334 Ditto from me on no generator I live in Texas. If the engine goes out for some reason or it's 100*+ I want a gen to back up other systems.

Its a shame the prices basically make it Impossible for Anyone whos not very Wealthy to purchase these. This is the price of a full home and Land.

@@sljmlj And you'll be paying for it as long as you own. Because Mercedes quality is not what people assume. And when things start to go bad, AND they WILL, the repair bills will huge, that's assuming you can get parts.

Right!? You can get a super C cheaper than this small camper. With a better diesel, air brakes, bigger and better built for cheaper....Mercedes builds are a joke, their diesels suck and are gutless. No thank you.

I hear what you’re saying, but a cheaper super C than this is going to come with wrapped particle board construction elements inside and really just lower quality interior and exterior build components overall (especially things you don’t see like roof and floor construction), and more. Sure it doesn’t have a super C chassis, but it has the construction quality that you see in $500k+ motorhomes in most all of the build components. Some things in here even exceed what you may see in $500k+ larger motorhomes.

It’s Renegade. They are a different breed of RV manufacture. While companies like Thor and Jayco push out thousands and thousands of motorhomes per year, Renegade only builds a few hundred to maintain a significantly higher degree of quality and quality control.

While I agree the quality is night end day compared to a Thor Delano or the Winnebago View for example. The problem is you're going to oay 200k and only have about 1000 lbs. CCC give or take. After you add a couple of humans, some water and some essentials You're maxed out. What a joke. 😂

You are absolutely correct. They never mention the low cargo capacity and people don’t understand how serious this is. We have owned 8 motorhomes over many years. We overloaded a large class C and did 10k worth of damages. I would love to like these Mercedes chassis but Winnebago has the best CCC with decent upgrades and it’s not that great.

I like the side open bay doors and some of us can’t bend down that far to use the bays. Ridiculous that this company does not realize that the people who are their best customers are retired and older and have physical limitations. That is just stupid on the part of the designer.

"Dovetail" is the word you were looking for. 👍

If the bays were higher, like above the middle of the tires, I would be a buyer.

Does this model have more leg room for the driver, than other Class C's? My husband is 6ft 2 inches and cannot straighten his legs to drive! We love some other models, just can't drive them if the driver's seat doesn't go back farther.

Myles, Love all of your RV videos. They are informative, entertaining and enjoyable. I originally was in love with the Winnebago View/Navion 24D. Now after watching your video, I will purchase the Renegade Vienna with the Murphy bed for my next upgrade. The drawers are dovetail together. This is higher end quality cabinetry and so glad Vienna has higher quality in all of its finishes. The three negative points about this model is there should be a back window in the bathroom on top of the toilet and an additional window near the queen bed on top of the night table for some cross ventilation. Also, two side windows in the bunk over the cab area. During dry camping, we are not able to use the AC at night in national/state/provincial parks since we can not run the generator. Having cross breezes are very important. Thanks again for some fabulous and informative videos. Please keep them coming!!! BTW: What is the weight limit on the bunk over the cab? 🎉🎉🎉

Downside: don't need two couches. Look at Leisure layout. Better TV, bath, kitchen.

Such a cute and very nicely built RV! Definitely can tell that everything is higher quality. Would be great for a small family.

Not putting a latter on a unit for emergency access is a example of bad decision making on the part of the mfg or dealer

Well-built motorhome. The comparison Winnebago, however, I have some disagreements. Referencing the Winnebago view 24D model that has the Murphy bed. Winnebago has greater capacity on black tank and grey tanks 41 gallons each. Freshwater 31 gallons. Towing Capacity 5,000 Pounds. Cargo carrying capacity 1,050 pounds. The slide mechanism on the Winnebago is rack and pinion. Vienna has a schwintek system. That Can gaul and fail prematurely. Galling often occurs with aluminum compounds. Overall, I have to agree that the build quality of the Vienna is superior minus the observations above.

I’m been looking for a high quality RV and this unit for $200,000 doesn’t have electric chairs and bed buttons. Also when Murphy bed down you can’t walk past the bed. Need to look at the Wayfarer and you will see the difference

At a 190,000 price point, it should have a washer and dryer. The kitchen sink is small I don't think a full-sized plate could fit into it. The upper cabinet hinges that stop the door where you leave off are nice but they take up space in the cabinet when doors are closed. Appears to go into the cabinet 2-3 inches and could damage items in the cabinet. If you are going to have a gas stove top you might as well have an oven, all in one. I thought for sure this was going to be an electric top but I was wrong.

You have to have a ladder to get up to clean the solar panels - they get dusty and can collect tree needles, etc.

I have seen the view many times so I am here for the Renegade, PLEASE

I was told by a Renegade Rep that they no longer provide ladders on any motorhome due to liability issues. The generator has been deleted because the batteries are very large, two lithium 400AH. The inverter is 3000 watt not 2000 watt. This will run the AC and everything else you need of a while. The batteries can be charged by a second engine mounted alternator. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) is very limited on these Sprinter RV's so dropping the generator weight helps out.

The camper should install security cameras at the 4 corners.

In the Winnebago you can have the bed down on the slide closed.

Beautiful! I like most everything but wish the bath was bigger, shower taller & bigger, the bed could be smaller so that you’d have more space.

We have a covered carport for our rv storage. There is not enough room to open the bay storage doors sideways instead up lifting up. It would be a pain to have to drive it out to access the cabinets.

It is pretty expensive, but you know folks. You can always go by. I used RV doesn't have to be brand new if you can't afford it. Four save up and buy it

Can the bed and table be used when the slideout is all the way in? With the slide-out retracted can a person walk to the bathroom? With the slide-out in can the refrigerator door be opened for easy access. What is the weight limit for the overhead bunk area? The 2ooo-watt inverter is not enough capacity to run several appliances all at once???

I don't like that it doesn't have a generator

That’s understandable. I was thinking someone could either put an accessory hitch with a generator on it if they wanted, or put a generator in a vehicle they tow behind the Motorhome if they feel a generator is a need.

My plan if I plan to off grid for a while is to use a small portable propane generator "ALP' (30 lb) that will run off of the house propane and provide battery charging at 600 watts. MB Sprinter does not recommend idling the engine for long periods of time so idling to recharging does not seem to be a smart solution.

Given sufficient lithium battery and solar, it renders the generator obsolete. I have not used our generator on our Class C once in the last three months on our 7000 mile, 45 stop tour around Canada and the US NW.

Combo washer and dryer

For this price I would like to walk into a bed room. Unlikely to have 4 people looking for a place to sit.

What are the dimensions of the shower? It'd be great to learn this on the video.

Nice RV! However, the only complaints I have is the storage. The pantry is definitely a sufficient size, but the rest of the cabinets/drawers are pretty small. Also love the size of the kitchen, but would not have a control panel right beside the burners on the stove. That space would be better suited for kitchen tools/uses. The shower is not the most spacious, but it’s doable.

You’re right. There is some room to be desired with the storage and shower.

Can the couch be converted into a Table Murphy bed

The only negative is the second couch under the Murphy bed makes no sense. It is in the way of the bathroom when the slide is in. I would rather have maybe a fold down dining table with folding chairs.

I would prefer the ladder to be inside of the coach

For the money you can get something alot better in size and weight

KUMHO is a Korean tire company. how big is the fuel tank ? ., Brother in law has a similar one with a 19 gallon tank...way too small....

Nice rig- the lithium upgrade comes with 3K watt inverter and 740 amp hour lithium batteries. Assume ac will work off of inverter if needed. Way more quality than the view but your OCCC from my research is extremely low on this unit.

If I had an rv with a ladder on the back, I would be worried that some fool who's drunk or high or is a stupid kid might climb onto my roof, do some damage and/or fall off. Then they might sue me for tempting them with the ladder. I would rather have a ladder that I could lock away and just bring it out when I need to use it.

I've always wondered: when you travel in these, what is the legality if you are traveling with more than 2 passengers (kids for example) For safety reasons every passenger needs to be seat belted and possible car seat in a regular vehicle Is that not the case for motorhomes?

In motorhomes you are also supposed to be in a seat belt. Things like recliners and sofas will have seatbelts installed in motorhomes for additional legal sitting space.

Why are these RV so expensive? Seems insane to purchase something for so much when it will devalue itself so quickly.

Seeing the comparison to a view is not fair for the View. The view is 5 years ahead of this unit. The view has lithium batteries with a generator. Heated tanks, vents on both side of the vent. Both gas and induction stove tops. A U shaped booth that creates an adult sleep area. Auto level jacks. These units are not close.

Like having a ladder.

I don’t like the round sink. It just seems very impractical.

On the contrary, virtually everything one washes is round. Plates, pots, cups, mugs. These round sinks make absolute sense as they minimize water wastage, which is a huge factor with these sprinter based rigs with their small tanks.

The 25’ RV with Mercedes chassis is a nice layout but by no means worth list over $200000. To purchase outright $125000. Is fair. Winnebago View or Navion 24D the door with double latch still does not close properly Your battery switch and awning are at the base of cabinets by door your truma hot water control is extremely small your levelers only stabilize your RV. In all it is a nice unit but really why don’t they up grade the products based. On MSRP

No Stove - with burners AND an OVEN?? No thank you!!! How do you expect a person to prepare any type of meal, camping or other wise?

The roof seals on the Winnebago is ATROCIOUS! That should be illegal. That’s gonna wear off after just one season of heavy rain

All electric with a gas stove, not induction. Did I miss the propane tank somewhere? One thing I didn't miss is that you left out the OCCC. As others have noted Winnebago typically has the best in the industry, guessing around 1000 lbs. This one, all those nice features have a cost - weight. Fabric padded soft tough walls, solid wood doors and cabinetry, that mattress lookd comfy/quality but was probably twice as thick as standard. and the list goes on. I'm guessing OCCC is between 650 and 750...which makes all the storage space useless. Kudos for stating that the towing was 4300lbs as that is the Mercedes chassis limit. Towing is always the weakest link in the system. Winnebago has that same 4300lb weight limit for towing and the Class IV hitch rating of 5000lbs can handle the 4300lbs, where by contrast a Class III hitch rating of 3500lbs could not which is why they don't use Class III hitches as they would be the weakest link.

I would never buy anything built on a Mercedes chassis. Too expensive, and it isn't a matter of if, it's when things start to go bad it gets even more costly. And that's assuming you can get parts.

I do like the bathroom size and layout, but that’s about it. The sofa and murphy bed are a big no for me, and the living area is drab and unappealing, especially for the price.

The other one has a crack on its roof.

Are you familiar with AZExpert's page? He services and repairs RV's and he has almost nothing good to say about Winnebago, especially their roof construction. He has had to replace many of them.

Yes I am familiar with his page. Unfortunately, it’s not terribly uncommon for a roof to have to be replaced at some point and time on an RV. But Renegade constructs there’s significantly better.
