This is perfect. I definitely can’t justify $500+ for some of the other ones but this looks like it’ll work well for me.

Wow this rack seems like a no brainer...I've been searching for a tray style rack to replace my current sketchy over-spare-tire rack and I'm amazed by the price of this one. Buying it ASAP!

I think the light grey slider on the strap is supposed to go between the rim and the strap to keep it from scratching. Same on the frame strap. And you need a headstrap for your camera. :)

Yes, duh. But can hardly do that with one hand on the camera. I'm sure he knows that how it works... pretty obvious.

I checked the weight on the website 35 pounds per bike not 30 as stated. Great review

Hi! Thanks for this review. I am wondering if two years later you would still recommend. Also, does it tilt far enough away to open the hatch and can you lock the biked to the rack to prevent theft?

I like the ease of this rack however it isn't heavy duty enough for electric bikes. My wife and I have Lectricbikes XP step thru's and I am looking for a bike rack that can support the 60 +/- pound (120 combined) bikes.

this is an great video. I know some racks are limited but the bike tires. Meaning I have Mtb with 29 wheels. Will this rack still be ok for that size tire. never mind lol

Two bikes that my wife and I really enjoy riding now are specialized e-bikes. Do you know if e-trailer has a platform bike rack that could hold the heavier e-bikes? since they have the battery in the down tube along with a little bit heavier frame you would have to have a platform that could take that kind of weight.

No. I have owned this rack for a season now and I have to say it is the only pitfall. I have an AWOL gravel bike with fenders and a Trek Top Fuel that are on the rack regularly. Because of the fenders, many other racks with tire lockdowns will not work. I have been loving my Destination rack!!

Do you think this will a 2.5” receiver with an adapter? Curious if that locking bolt is long enough

When the rack is folded up is there enough clearance to open the rear trunk?

No.

I would use one of those straps to secure the center post to avoid it swinging into the car. Just my 2 ¢.

Likes and dislikes. Like the price, straps, and the weight. Dislike the way the center post comes up and secures. Not a fan of the bowed design, no option for a security cable to keep bikes from being stolen.

As a workaround you can access things by folding your second row seats. I did for my suv, also some suv rear glass also opens...there is one thule hanging hitch rack, with that you can open trunk with bikes on bikes can be moved to side of car. But it is not platform rack rather hanging one...

Not designed for a Trailer or fifth wheel. But yes on Motorhomes

Nice rack but I don't see that it tilts so that you can access your vehicle via the back door. Deal breaker for me.

$200 is still too pricey for 2 bike holder

Not enough payload capacity to handle this bike rack. I definitely recommend a 3/4 ton truck.

Just like the last one you put on, the taillights are not very visible. Seems dangerous to me.
