Tripple mag mount with a home made river coil and a MFJ 1979 whip is the way to go.

@@HAMRADIODUDE Of course it holds up to 150mph wind speeds no problem. Garage and overpass easy. Safely tucked in the trunk.....

@@HAMRADIODUDE Awesome set up. On the car it does 20m to 2m whip only. 80m n 40m whip n coil. Add 4 radials 17' long and your spike mount and you can use it in the field or base. Whip is SUPER fragile 1 fall n that's it. Joints will get loose even when left deployed and extended for a few days. Whip also collects water inside if left in the rain or dew. Best results; PUT AWAY AFTER EACH USE!!!!!

Originally, that was the plan. Wednesday, I had to have the schedule in and the forecast was calling for nasty weather, so I put this in there :(

RG-400 can take your car door just fine. RG-58 is garbage in my opinion and the FAA agrees with me🙄 I've had good luck with a Tram glass mount it limits you to 50 watts. 1/2 waves don't need no ground plane if you vehicle is made from plastic like a freightliner...
