Funny enough I did order my assiomas duo for shimano just yesterday. I hope to take advantage from extended Q factor as well cause ima big boi and wide on hips. Was even recommended longer axels on pedals from my bike fitter. Thanks Cam for making me sure that it was a right decision. I have been using two different crank based power meters on my road and cx bike. One I am really happy with the other not so much, so I just sell away the worse one and stick my assiomas on my road bike 😊

Love my Assioma pedals! Easy, accurate, and very helpful in my case for the increased q-factor. It feels wrong to ride without them.

I have my duo’s for three years, I love them, accurate consistent and can switch to other bikes. Never put a foot wrong!

I have the Assioma Duos. They are awesome. I just switched my bike, and changing them to the new bike was super easy

I’ve got the Assioma Duo recently and I have to say it’s really great. I also got used to the Look Keo system very quickly and like it more than Shimano SPD-SL.

I run assioma duo-shi on two bikes. Most people apart from fairly small people can do with a wider q-factor, for me the wider q-factor is an added bonus as opposed to running PM cranks with wider spindles and spacers, assioma remedies this with a single solution

Rock solid endorsement! These pedals rock. My only negative is the battery last way longer than you expect. It is easy to forget them. On the plus side my Garmin reminds me that the battery level is getting low

I got a power meter this week, instead of the carbon wheels but already seen a change in how I ride much more convenient.

I have been using Assioma for over three years and love them. I have never had an issue with them. The cleats have not been an issue for me coming from Shimano pedals.

Instead of moving from my narrow-ish Q factor Sram crankset to a more preferred wider crankset, I’m just switching pedals to the duo-shi system to get roughly the same effect - wins all around!

This is all good but how would you deal with the increase in q factor by +65mm?

awesome video I am a big fan of speedplay but I can't justify paying for wahoo powrlink duo. I am really considering this power meter but how easy is it to clip in and unclipping on this pedal?

I love the pedals just not the Look system. I cycle in a city and those with Look style seem to struggle into the pedals as I have as well. Once clipped in I am fine with thd Look system. It may be because of a 47 shoe and the shimano's wider clip, either way its a great pedal and they have options.

I have these pedals and I am pleased with them. However, how do they compensate for the fact that they don't have Power Center Offset? Seems to me like that would be a factor for the data not being as accurate as it could be. I think I've read somewhere that they use an alternative technology, but I don't recall where that was.

You know something is good when testers are using it to verify other systems. Assiama is the one people seem to use for that. I've been riding mine for years and they've been rock solid. Also, you can replace the pedal body and bearings in about ten minutes if you get everything ready before you start. If you live somewhere parts are not readily available I'd suggest buying a spare set of bearings to have on hand. Mine went three years before I changed them but I just did it, not because they failed.

I use the Duo’s with the Look keo grey cleat. They work really well. I don’t notice any difference clipping in from Look keo max pedals.

Was just looking at the website and wondering how it would feel switching from the KEO max which ive used for over 40,000KM and love. Thank you! Might get a pair of sensors for next season - having issues with my stages PM

2 min for a power meter to connnect at the beginning of a 4 hr ride is nothing. I do like that I can use different pedal systems on my crank power meter. I dont like that my crank needs a magnet that will keep the chain hostage if its dropped. But power at the pedal is pretty sweet. I wonder how well these take a pedal clip during cornering in a race? It's cold where I live so for 7 months out of the year I ride winter boots on a SPD mtn system. Then when it warms up I switch back to my shimano road pedals.

the shoes I"m looking at have a 9deg delta cleat, is that what I need for these pedals?

Planning to buy Assioma pedals in the next couple of months. Can anyone please tell me the power measurements difference between Assioma Uno and Duo? Due to the price discrepancy, I'm considering the Uno, but do not know if it's less accurate and precise. I just know that with the Duo it's possible to know L/R ratio. Can you guys help? Love my Assioma pedals, so easy to use & swap between bikes. only one complaint - i wish they would offer a mountain sytle peddle. road shoes for ultra bike packing whilst work are the best shoes for off bike activites.

Had Stages……became unreliable, went to Assioma and never looked back! Awesome product, never let me down. In addition, I was always a Speedplay guy but found no issues with going to this type of pedal with the max float cleat. I also don’t miss the exorbitant price of replacing Speedplay cleats either - outrageous!

Interesting I have had the dura ace stages dual PM and they are so unreliable its ridiculous for $1500 CAD youd think they would be good. I often have to update and calibrate them every 2/3 weeks.

@@zacharyerskine4277 sorry to hear that. My Stages for some reason began to chew through batteries and even when the battery was new, it would just drop out sometimes never to return. I also really like the ease of transferring the pedals between bikes, no hassle or complications.

Is the battery replaceable on the assiomapromx2?

Would these work with my shimano cleats ?

Doesnt Assioma make pedals for walkable offroad shoes? If I get powermeterpedals thay have to be offroad spd-pedals. I use XTR SPD-pedals on both my gravel and my roadbike.

Just got some Assioma Pro MX pedals -- they're great on and off-road! At the moment, I can't see ANY good reason for buying any other brand of PM pedals. Cheers

I use Assiomas but what cleat should I use when I need to replace, as it isn't actually a look keo cleat? This is the one major drawback on these pedals. (I know they sell spare cleats but don't want to order from Italy all the time)

Any idea how the power is measured with a pedal-power-meter? The system measures the Force over the spindle. But how does the system know the Lever Arm? When the force is perpendicular to the crank, at that point, the crank length is the same as the lever arm. That is one spot only. What about the other degrees of the turning crank, when the lever arm gets all the time a different length? So, how does the system know these parameters for getting the Lever Arm? - the DIRECTION of the force over the spindle; - the POSITION of the crank; - the ANGLE between the two. Only by knowing all these parameters the system can calculate the Lever Arm. (then, along with the Force, comes the Torque; and then, finally, along with the RPM, comes the Power) If you measure the power the other way, force * speed, the force has to be measured tangential to the circle, meaning all the time perpendicular to the crank. Does the system read the tangential force? If so, yep, the power can be read in both ways: force * speed or torque * rpm. If not, i don't understand how the system, measuring only the force over the spindle, can read the power. Any idea? Thank you & best regards! Mircea

I just bought my second set - they are top units. However, I wouldn't use them on gravel. My first set died after getting cracks in the resin, and water getting into the innards after some gravel rides.

@James - I am using them on gravel and I notice the rock strikes wearing at the pod. Was that your experience and did you try adding a crank arm boot like MTB’s sometimes add?

Recharging with a cable is a lot easier than replacing batteries etc

Had the DUO's for a couple years, then the batteries wouldn't charge after the warranty expired. The after warranty support options suck and require you to purchase new spindles. Do yourself a favor and get Garmin pedals because batteries can be replaced and the Garmin after warranty support options are unbeatable.

I love my assioma pm pedals. Its just a pitty that there is not a solution for spd-sl cleats whic ar far better than the xpedo or looks. I know there is a Shi Version of the assioma. But the Q factor is just to big 😞

Setting the shipping location to Australia I got $571. When I switched it to US I got $767 (both were still in USD). Perhaps it has something to do with EU VAT or import tariffs between the different countries?

They kinda/sorta do, although it is unsupported by Favero. There are plenty of KZread videos out there about how to swap out the road body to a mtb body.

@@jackliang6061 I added Xpedo M Force 8 Ti pedals which work well with SPD cleats (my current favourites are the Silca Ti cleats which don’t wear as quickly as brass). The swop of pedal bodies is super easy and GP Lama has a video on it. I am very happy with the Assioma Duo/ M Force 8 combo.

I still have plenty of years left in my spider based power meter. Maybe by the time it becomes obsolete in about 7 years, Assioma will finally upgrade USB-C and it will be 2030.

USB-C would be downgrade. A port for dirt to get into isn't something you want on a pedal. The chargers connect to metal contacts and are held in place by a magnet. A simple and elegant way of doing it.

I would love to see an SPD version.

You can put the duo shi on shimano spds. Check the trainer road forum

for me for the Duo it's 800$ CAD before tax and shipping. It's too expensive.

yeah, that's more than I want to spend too, but it's still significantly less than competing dual sided power meters.

I have them and they are the easiest and most convenient pedals around.They are quick to charge and are very accurate very similar to my watt bike .I have Garmin vector 3 before these are they were absolute rubbish and high maintenance.

prices are getting ridiculous. They are now 200 dollars more expensive.

yes, is very correct. But, baterry life time is very bad, very, very bad. Today, after sold my assiona duo, buyed 4III only side cranck. The 4iii is very cheap and poor, but, have an long, long baterry time life. Just a consideration on the best upgrade. I am consider the Di2 - Shimano 105 di2, also because it has an longer battery life than the sram, and is much lighter amount the Rival. I am use the R7000 crankset, Shimano HG Hub and which saved a lot of money. And really di2 is an evolution, my training is easier. click and change.

They are „the best” because they are our sponsor and pay us money.

8 months later, and the price increase by 200USD more..

Speedplay is now owned by Wahoo. On their website dual sided pedals are US$1000. Dual sided Assiomas are US$561 today. Price is a significant feature.

Terrible pedals, non-existent warranty, terrible customer service from Favero.
