To each their own but the Fox Valley, Eau Claire, Hudson, and MKE/Madison Suburbs are the best for all around jobs, things to do, economy, quality of life if you like city life. For nature lovers , Waupaca, Wausau, Baraboo, Prairie du Chien and La Crosse have the most scenic outdoor landscapes in my opinion.

You can be from Wisconsin if you can’t pronounce the names of the city’s. Some of these towns are suburbs of Milwaukee and Madison so getting to work can be a challenge among other issues. Sadly, parts of Madison are turning into a hell holes and that includes Sun Prairie. This once beautiful little town has grown and become a move to-dumping ground for Chicago trash. Weekly shootings, robberies, car thefts and break-ins are now the norm. People are fleeing since they are raising taxes to cover the costs of the bad effects of the invitation that libs have extended over the years. People will never learn.

We've been looking for a good place to retire and are considering SW Iowa and Oregon in the central Willamette Valley. Both are rural but are an easy drive to essential services such as medical care, services for elder care, etc.

been living here for all 20 years of my existence. if you can pick the good spots (west of I-41, south of 20th Ave, County Park vicinity, etc.) in the city to live in you're chillin for most of your life. however the government here is abysmal, almost every living space between the Fox River and the Jackson St railroad is borderline slummy with a not great crime rate, apart from the few large parks and EAA in July there's jack shit to do, and constant road construction/closures are annoying as hell. Maybe im just a bit harsh cause ive been here so long lol. I like this place, but for this list i think leaving Oshkosh off is the smarter option.

Lived in Wisconsin most of my life, half of these places not heard of...must be suburbs of Milwaukee. You seem unaware of the western half of the state. You know the part that isn't so congested with traffic or less expensive or that's beautiful. Spring Green has a UNESCO site nearby. LaCrosse with the bluffs, coulees, and the Mississippi River is pretty. Baraboo, Devil's Lake, the Wisconsin Dells, are a unique area to live. Bayfield next door to the Apostle Islands is very pretty with a nice small town flair. A variety of small cities and towns that bump up against the Mississippi River or the St. Croix River are nice options. Honorable mentions to Mineral Point and Richland Center. Oregon didn't even have a grocery store til recently, it is basically a souless suburb with no services. Stoughton is a better option, it at least is a real town with some history.

It also provides some of the best schooling in the state and the village loves their schools sports. It is a little pricey to live there but it makes sense because of the aforementioned things that this small village has to offer.

Yes because of prejudice that still exists , so even though they can afford to live in these cities there are other issues so due diligence has to be made in investigating racial make up of a city, and that is disheartening.

Most of Wisconsin is racist as hell. Why else would 74% of black people in the entire state live in one city?

My nephew and his family live in Oconomowoc, and absolutely love it. I understand it's a bit pricey though, which could be why it's not on this list. Cedarburg is great, I'm familiar with and like Oregon too, and Stoughton, about 5-6 miles south of Oregon, seems as good if not better. And you're close to "Mad City" too! My top ten would probably include Platteville, Viroqua, and/or Mineral Point, all in the lovely "Driftless Area" of SW Wisconsin. I currently live in east De Pere, and quite like it. The East De Pere school district is pretty good, there's a couple nice parks along the Fox River, and a pretty decent downtown.

Every town and every state have "best and worst places to live." Wouldn't you think it all...ALL depends on your $money$ situation? There's an NJ youtube person who has an opinion on a number of states. This person has lived in all of them in both the poor and well-to-do districts? Yeah.

Waunakee sucks! It has no terrain feature worthy of mention. It's just basically flat. They use human excrement for fertilizer on the local crops that stinks to high heaven. The only redeeming quality is a successful high-school football team. Middleton ain't no great shakes. McFarland is probably the best of the suburbs of Madison with 4 lakes and a river and easy access to Madison. And what about LaCrosse and Prairie Du Chien? Both beautiful places

I find it insulting that so many minorities are pictured enjoying life in this video while most of the towns featured are lily-white affluent suburbs. A few at the end are very rural, also lily-white towns, with few job opportunities.

Please.... Move to Madison or Milwaukee if you want the diversity, high crime, and crappy schools. There is nothing wrong with areas being racially or culturally homogeneous. It's not like non-white people are barred from those areas and they would be, and are, welcomed there.
