This is the best restaurant to eat in Antigua/Guatemala! Especially on the day after the volcano hike, when you desperately need to fill your body with healthy proteins and delicious carbohydrates!
In this place I found so many different meal deals in great prices for the quality of the food you're buying!!
Today I'm struggling to even walk properly, my body is in full pain and my energy levels are below my personal usual standards. However, I'm happy to share with you this restaurant in Antigua because they have such a great variety of fresh traditional plates that everyone is gonna enjoy for sure!!

I have eaten in that restaurant, "El Portal" many times over the years. Yes, it is indeed a great place to eat and is authentic. It is where the local working folks eat and is on a side street off the main square.
Tim, The corn tortillas in Guatemala, are made from natural organic corn.. Monsanto hasn’t been able to contaminate the corn 🌽 in Guatemala yet! The Guatemalan protesters earned it.. I like how Tim is going to El Salvador , Guatemala and hopefully making his way to other counties in Central America. He’s friends with Giannis and hangs out with him, he’s from Greece and he speaks Spanish. An all around guy. I like your videos Tim. Please go to Metapan, a nice colonial town in El Salvador that borders Guatemala. Antigua is a nice place.

νόστιμο!!! Delicioso!!! I went to Guate last year and could not remember the name of this place. I love how you dipped your tortilla in your soup and sauce. That's what Guatemalan's do with tortillas. Really enjoy your trips on KZread.

If Antigua reminds you of Chiapas is because. Chiapas used to be part of Guatemala. It belong to it until right after the independence declaration from Spain and they made a deal with Mexico in exchange for fire arm and they kept the state of Chiapas. Pretty bad deal right!

Depends on the place where you go in Vienna / Europe. Around 15 - 25 €
Yes Antigua is somewhat like San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas except we have cobblestones and far ore authentic colinial buildings. And we are closer to an international airport and other tourism sites lile Lake Atitlan and Monterrico on the Pacific ocean. So Antigua is much more convenient,San Cristobal is all by itelf away from the rest of Mexico. Takes many many hours to get anywhere else!
If you go to Tunisia this summer, it's better.

Frustrating not to provide the name of the restaurant. So I followed the buildings on the video and found it. It’s called Rinçon Antegueno.
Please visit India once...I guarantee you will never forget the hospitality...and don't worry about the language barrier. India is the second largest English speaking country where Hindi is our main official language...
