Great vid, thanks for coming to London and adding the prices. Ill be sure to visit The Guinea Grill. As London such a huge place, maybe better to divide the guide by borough.
Oisin is indeed a ‘legend’ and ‘an absolute gent’ 💥
Thanks for your channel mate.. just discovered it and I am obsessed… hello to you all the way from Melbourne, Australia and I love my Guinness.. 👍👍🍺🍺🍺
Found your channel a few hours ago and gotta say I love the content. I’m working in a pub in Paddington London called The Phoenix and we serve £4 Guinness, would love to see you in here one day! Keep it up lad
Was in the Guinea Grill on Saturday, and the barmaid said that Guinness sales are up 80% since you've been in! People have been travelling from outside London for pints in there they said. Oisin wasn't working unfortunately, but we'll get him next time.
I always pop in to hear the craic and look at the Guinness cheers, and the gulp you hear when you drink it, it’s true if you leave the barrel’s for about a week before serving you’ll get a better pint , a barman in ballyhiegue Co Kerry told me this and everyone in the pub was drinking it .🍺🇮🇪
Old bar manager here, in the UK the flash coolers used for Guinness are typically a few degrees cooler than you would have in Ireland. I actually went over to Dublin for a week just to drink Guinness and see what the difference is between how Guinness is served. The big reason, is Guinness settles much quicker than a warmer pint.
Met Jason Mamoa in the Toucan, it’s his local when he’s in London. Very good pub with a great atmosphere
Your page is a brilliant idea. Keep up the good work fella!
How about South London? I recommend Blythe Hill Tavern. Great Irish boozer.
The toucon....love that place. You do your research my man. Love the channel.
MC and sons Union Street was the Charles Dickens for most of the 00s and before that during 80s/90s it was the Red Lion. The Jerwood space opposite was the Royal mail / parcel force office till the millennium. Always was a British backstreet local pub and full of postmen for years. Big refurb and now a cod O'Neill's type turnout as you suspected. Auld Shillelagh Stoke Newington is a diamond.
Hopefully you've got some of our London pubs questioning the temperature! Stouts should never be arctic cold. Surely would get a creamier, better tasting beer if slightly warmer 🍻
This channel has lead me to only drink Guinness since the start of the pandemic. top top content my man, you have made me a Guinness addict!

I never knew Leo Sayer was Irish! 😉 Back in my time in London (90's) one of the best pints of Guinness I found was in King William's in Hampstead. Friendly colourful clientele also 😃
Completely agree with the Toucan. As an Irishman in London, I was taken there for a pint and was let down massively. Looking forward to going to the Guinea and meeting Oísin!

Was in London the weekend just gone (Fri 24/03/23) went to the Guinea Grill - packed pub as id expect for a Friday afternoon. Plenty drinking the G which is a good sign. Fair wait from ordering to delivery, the bar staff know how to pour a decent pint. Perfectly fine drink (had 8) so no complaints - not the best ive ever had but certainly drinkable. Saturday (25/03/23) went to the Coach and Horses Covent Garden - opens 12:00 with around 8 people waiting at the door - by 12:30 the guy on the door is turning people away - small pub that got busy very quick - and I know why - the G was superb !! great to watch settle, lovely creamy dome on every pint - and taste brilliant - every pint (had 8) so of the 2 - its the Coach & Horses everytime - but the Guinea was good

8 pints, let's say that you drink on average 4liters of black stuff each sitting! After the 5fth pint everything is good
Oisin is an absolute legend!
Am over the moon you reviewed the Guinea - for me the best pub in London. Next time have a pie - they are a serious bit of kit 👊
Love the pints and vibe at the Toucan. Always take a trip there if i'm in Soho.
Keep your health in mind and keep killin it brother. Love the videos
Been looking forward to this vid. Lived in london for 5 years and struggled to get a decent Guinness
Love to see you review some pints in the U.S.
Did the Guiness Guru West end - Guinea Grill, Toucan and Coach and Horses. Guinea Grill was miles ahead, Toucan secent enough, Coach and Horses on a par with Weatherspoons - had a couple of pints there, both equally as bang average. Apparently Guinea Grill is going to be bought out by Youngs - hope they keep aiming high. Trying Gibneys, Aul Shillelagh and the crown in Hackney next. Keep up the good work GG - Guinea Grill was great shout, full of binceys, but well poured pint
Was only in the Guinea Grill on Sunday, serious spot. Gibneys get their old style glasses shipped over from their, sister pub, Gibneys of Malahide

The Hearsall Inn in Coventry serves the old style class as does a few of the Irish working men’s clubs
another recommendation for ya. the shepherd and flock goldhawk Road in bush
Been waiting on this one!
The Leopold on Ricelane in Liverpool was my Irish grandads regular, reminded him of the good Guinness back home, some of the other pubs serve absolutely terrible pints!
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS😋
In the UK we wash glasses (or should wash glasses) in an automatic cabinet glass wash... Nothing other than glasses should be placed in there, that's very important. The glasswash uses detergent and rinse aid. Rinse aid is very important and not easy to find the right one. Use the wrong one or none at all and they will dry streaky, causing the issue you see with Guinness (it's not 'just dirty / greasy glasses that cause it.) The problem is we usually air dry glasses. That becomes a problem only if it's not done right. If you don't take the glasses out immediately after the cycle finishes (when they're red hot) they won't air dry properly. If you put the glasses straight on the shelf rather they air drying them in the tray somewhere that air can get underneath, then they won't dry properly. All of these things, along with using the wrong rinse aid or no rinse aid at all can cause it.
I don't know why I'm watching these videos but I loves em. Good work. It's making me thirsty....
Was in the Coach and Horses last night, lovely pint of Guinness and they serve in a mixture of old and new style glasses.
When Guinness introduced 'Extra cold' years ago in the UK, many pubs would serve both options unless they specialised? These days, most tend to have just the one tap, which usually is the 'Extra cold'. I suppose you have to put this down to cellar space and turn over? Pubs do vary though, the one we used to use on Fulham Broadway had at least nine Guinness taps on the one horse shoe shaped bar.

Did the Toucan in 2019 , absolutely could have spent the day there…..it was a warm balmy Sunday, and it was just a proper chilled out atmosphere…..and a great pint of the Black Gold , I’d give it a good 7.8 possible 8, but then I did have about 4 pints, and I only drink Guinness…… 👍🇮🇲💪💕
Recommend Homeboy in Nine Elms. Great selection of the water of life as well.
Historically the Irish diaspora in the UK, in my experience, determined where your best pint was found. In no particular order my favourites were by memory: Liverpool, Derby, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London.

@@Lorenzo-cp7qs Mulligans probably is the best pint in Mcr, but ever since he started charging entry fee for Paddy's day I've stopped going. After that, Freemount old-style glasses, and they've just recently started batching up a custom gas mix more similar to Irish canisters for that extra creamy head. I'm just glad there's finally a decent few pints in Mcr haha
we got the same dirty glasses where i work. we dont wash any plates or forks in there. we clean the glass washer regularly, we refurbish the glasses as well and cant get rid of the air bubbling inside after pouring. they look clean too. not sure what is causing it. maybe the deteregent
