Best PC Case of 2019? CM690 Case Mod
Ғылым және технология
Looking at the cases available today, I realized that airflow is suffering and cost is rising. I decided to mod my decade old Cooler Master CM690 to delete the 5.25" and 3.5" cages, and allow for a 360mm radiator up front.

You know, drilling out rivets is a lot easier. And why the stained tubing?
I love these real life videos 👍 Much more informative and useful than the highly polished, nothing ever goes wrong type of content out there. Thank you 🙏👏
HEY UNCLE JOHN
man..... Ive seen some crap builds but this takes the crown! 😂
What kind of cutting plate did you use for the rivets?
Oh boi... Didn't know YT allowed snuff movies on their site.
So here's hoping I can get a reply. But I also have a CM 690 Rev1 that I built a new system with. I literally finished up the build last week. I have toyed around with the idea to throw an AIO in the top of the case. I like your idea of fitting fans into the top of the case through the housing. I've never built with water cooling, my question to you is have you tried to fit a 140mm Radiator in the top and if so did it fit? The top fan slots can handle 140mm fans just fine so I assume a radiator should also work only problem I can think I would have is finding thin enough profile fans to fit on the top outside of the case like you did.
Did u cut the "hexagons" in top cover to let fans stay in top?
Now you need to paint and awesome nice job
That reminds me.....I need to book a dental appointment......:) How did you take off the front panel? mine won't budge and I need to replace the front fan. The instructions say pull up from the bottom of the case - so far no joy!!!!

Remove the side panels, then look for the clips on each side that need to be slid slightly outward to release. There is a grab point on the bottom, but if I remember correctly, it doesn't like to come off that way.
Never seen such a ghetto "modding"

Leveled up in jury-rigging.
This seems like a really hack ass and cheap case mod, but I guess that's what mining is al about
Use a drill to remove the rivets. It is much easier.
Hi dad
And were did you put the hdd?? Hahaha, nice!

I have the same exact case and I had to remove the inner most plate in the HDD bays to fit my GPU. Then again I went with an ASRock motherboard that has M.2 slots and I filled them with NVME's. The case originally shipped with a bracket/plate that would have normally been used for older floppy drives or even multi-media readers that would fit in one of the optical bay slots. If he wouldn't have cut out the optical drive bays and assuming he still had that 2.5in bracket/plate he could have fit a SSD in the bracket and just had it in the optical drive bays instead.
Im sure that you we're subject to criticism for all the jank but it works right? Good old AMD phenom II, respect. Ive been trying to kill one for years, tough as nails.
LOL, I got the same case, and did pretty much the same thing without the water cooler, after I was done, I realized I should have painted the entire inside black.......
Pc specs?

a very old one
change those hoses.
this pump system is very outdated. With just over 60 bucks you can buy a modern water cooler like a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition (Newegg) or even a Master Cooler MasterLiquid LC240E RGB Close-Loop AIO CPU Liquid Cooler, 240mm Radiator for $ 75 at Amazon
What is the name of this case?

Couldn't agree more :) I had a hard time determining the location of my drill bits - as mentioned in the video.

@@johnkuczera oh, sorry. I didn't have my headphones on!
Didn't that fry your mobo? Oh wait distilled water is a non-conductor. Yeah 5th grade science rocks!
Those cut off tools use drill bits
