No, it's not. I've never played any of the games from this series, and always wondered what's the hype around this game. So since the last year I played all the Witcher games starting with the very first, and currently playing Witcher 3. Even the first game is better than third. While being clunky and dated as all hell. Second one is meh. Witcher 3 is a great game, no arguing with that. But "the best"? Oh hell no! An errand boy simulator will never be better, than, let's say, anything from the SekiSoulsBorne games.

first 5 books are very good others are a bit less powerful. Also I would say that despite all 3 games being awesome the best is still first one then third and then second. P.S. don't watch netflix adaptation, It's not that awful, could have been worse, but still better to read books first and play all 3 games

The Witcher 3 is the game of thrones of games (minus the embarrassment of the final 2 seasons). It's simply the best fantasy game, and one of the most well-thought plots I have seen. You can also change difficulty even mid-fight to make it hard or ridiculously easy, so even if you don't game, you should definitely give it a go.

In many ways it is (decisions matter, memorable characters, gripping story, amazing soundtrack and art, attention to details, what you get for the price...), however, it did feel a bit more like a graphic novel than a true game at times. In a way I liked Gothic 1-2 more in this respect despite all its flaws. It had a better RPG elements. Also in Dark Messiah combat was far more fun.

After that i buy a Xbox one X a 60tv screen and the last edition of The Witcherjust to play it on 4k hdr, February 2020 I finished. My best game ever was Zelda - Ocarina of Time. And it was the best game for years and years to come. Until I played Witcher3. And believe me - I played A LOT of games during the years between.

Skyrim and Witcher 3 will forever be remembered as the best games of the 21st century. It's story telling, gameplay and music are insuperable.

Breath of the wild is awesome, as good as the Witcher 3 as a gma the story not so much

This is simply delightful! The people who came up with these compositions are geniuses, every time I listen to them for the first time.

Gotta say, when I first got to Ard Skellig and the song 'Fields of Ard Skellig' played for the first time I thought I recognized it from somewhere, but I couldn't put my finger on it. After listening to it on here, I found out that it's a lullaby my grandmother used to sing for us back home called Fear a' Bhàta/The Boatman in Goidelic (Or Scotch Gaelic). Brought back some good memories, so thanks for uploading this!

Yeah the books can be very slow paced in terms of action. There's always a lot going on in politics and later, when Geralt and his hansa start traveling it's a lot of group dynamics stuff. Still, I have enjoyed the novels incredibly so far. Shit's gotten really interesting now I'm reading the Lady of The Lake. Finally some more familiar characters from the game!

Witcher 3 ruined games for me. After playing wither 3 no other game even come close to the satisfaction this game gave me. Music,story, gameplay,choices and their far reaching consequences. I just want to erase my memories of this game so that i can enjoy this again just like the 1st time. Edit: August 2020. Never thought i would get to say this but i finally found another game which is on same level as witcher 3 "Horizon Zero Dawn" i knew about this game and always wanted to try it but couldn't since i don't have a PS4, bought the game on the day it was released for PC and its amazing, as good as witcher 3 in story, music and visuals and I dare say combat is better than witcher 3 ❤️ RPG elements however are disappointing since your choices doesn't really affect anything.

Two favorite tracks: Hunt or be Hunted, because it brings me back to how cinematic the scenes are in this game and the fights with the Wild Hunt where the player feels like they're desperately fighting phantoms. And Clock and Dagger: This track always plays during the tense horse races that I always opted to do because me and Roach never lost a race.

As Avalon mentioned, many mythologies are present..including Norse (Skellege and Runes), Germanic (Grimm fairy tales), Slavic and Celtic.

Best game of 2015 hands down. Will win GOTY. Also the most EPIC game. The music perfectly suited the game and atomosphere. My fav ones are ladies of the woods and steel for humans. 10/10 would play again.

It is simply perfect. From the brilliant music to the easy and intuitive character controls, from the beautiful immersive world to the excellent dialogues. I tried playing other singleplayer RPGs since I played Witcher 3 and it was not the same, not even Skyrim. I always thought to myself that they could be so much better - more like The Witcher 3. I really fucking hope that CD Project RED makes their next game in the same quality, otherwise I don't think I'm ever going to touch another RPG.

Played this multiple times yrs ago when it dropped and only a few days ago got back into it. Even after having played many other incredible titles/series this masterpiece of a game, the Elder Scrolls series and the Mass Effect series i suspect will undoubtedly stay with me for many yrs to come! F***ing adore this game!

A while ago when I was wandering at the forest of my hometown at night time I listened that song there. Man it adds atmosphere !

I can't even express how much as a masterpiece I considered this game and soundtrack!

Netflix's The Witcher is good series but as a Witcher, it's sucks. They ruined whole Ciri- Geralt relation

Just started playing this game after reading the 3 first books and watching the Netflix series. Words cant describe. Amazing

I you loved the books you will love first witcher game, in my opinion it captures the best atmosphere from books.

@@varunsanivarapu3168 but I understand what you are saying. When I played the witcher I was so invested in the game... The depth, the mechanics involved in tracking, preparing for and hunting monsters...the graphics, the animation, the writing... everything was so perfect. The Witcher 3 is one of the only 2 games I have platinumed (collected all trophies on ps4).

sanivarapu varun I’m pretty sure that this same team with more budget etc can make Cyberpunk surpass TW3 and after that if they continue like this TW4 will be even more legendary

So earlier in 2013 developers have said well after changing game release date : - the game will be released when it will be ready non earlier. 10/10

you know what guys, i just started playing this game... after 5 years, i am asking my self right now how the F i did not play this game up til now , and at the same time i feel relieved that i just experienced this game.

June 30, 2020 and still playing the game. FAVORITE TRACKS I CAN'T GET OVER THIS PASSIONATE BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I beat the game and was looking for the first soundtrack in this list. I remember how I fought as Ciri in the last chapter if the game. When I heard this song again I literally started crying. 10/10 game. It is one of those games that makes me want to forget everything I did in it and start it anew. One of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. The only con the game has is that fighting gets slightly repetitive and there is not too much to do in the late game(round lvl 30 there are no very special hard switcher contracts or anything like that). The soundtrack is superb and immersive, always the right song at the right moment.

2019 - and still best game!

Reading the books while hearing this as background music is godlike.

Perfect soundtrack of a perfect game. Just started my first playthrough of the game recently, and i never thought I will connect to a game that much. So far I'm LOVING this game from every single aspect of it and curious where the story will take me next.

witcher 3 ... is like the best RPG ever made, from story to music, some gameplay and UI limitation because of console's gamepads, loved my 200 hours played in it

With due respect. This soundtrack is so unique and perfect. Love every part of it. I love the game, the soundtrack, the characters! All together they are in harmony, and tha soundtrack does the job. Amazing performance. Love from a hungarian friend. ;)

Whitcher 4 - When it comes, goodbye reality. Marcin Przybylowicz, Mikolai Stroinski & Percival Schuttenbach, fkn tracks are incredible. Never stopped listening when i heard.

I've had this game in my gaming library since 2017 but only now did I have a chance to finish it DLCs included. The games I played before Witcher 3 were lucky, they got a chance to be enjoyed without being compared to this masterpiece unlike every other game that followed after I played it.

Are you sure the second line isn't "тука ни са казали" ? As in, "here they have told us"?

​@@grizley I don't see a link, can you post it again? Anyway, the song is based on an old Bulgarian folklore song "Ой лазаре", but each song I find has a small difference in the lyrics. Here's a link to one version I found that contains the line "тука са ни казали": www.cveti-terzieva.com/index.php/i-oshte/praznitzi/praznichni-vdahnoveniya/126-lazarski-pesni/676-oi-lazare-lazare. My Bulgarian ears don't lie, I heard "казале", which also rhymes with "Лазаре".

Соглашусь, что идёт 2023 год, а игра является эталоном в плане геймплея, сюжета, музыки и совокупности всех остальных игровых элементов.

Such a beautiful soundtrack. Fields of Ard Skellig, The Witcher's Path and Farewell, Old Friend and also "The Hunter's Path" from Velen are my favs. ^_^
