The one that stepped into that arena and hit her routines to save team USA. The one who did the most original UB connections of the quad. Love her!!

She wasn't the only one to do original UB routine, all the bars medalists of Tokyo had unique and original connections, but hers matched Nina's to a great extent.

God the irony of her bar routine in which she missed a bunch of connections is that the routine is in fact waaayyy harder endurance-wise (for a much lower D-score), and it's amazing she fought through it all the way.

The way Suni made split-second decisions (e.g. omitting a wolf turn on beam) and last-minute changes (e.g. AA finals floor routine) is astounding. And how many variations of her bar routine did she do in one season?😆 What a competitor!❤️

She makes me so incredibly proud, and this was my favorite Olympics I've watched (started first watching in 1996). Suni carried this team on her back, fought through injuries, persevered, and all her hard work showed. Honestly brings tears to my eyes, knowing and not knowing everything she went through, and how strong she is to make it to the absolute top. YOU GO, SUNI LEE!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU! 💕💕💕

Saviour for Team USA ❤️, she did great to offset Jordan and Grace's issues, had she not hit all her routines, US might have finished third or off podium (in the worst case) as the other teams were really not far behind.

Actually China, Italy and Japan (the next top contenders) also made several mistakes that would have left them out of the podium. USA was a sure medalist, even if Suni had accounted for a fall.

@@mike_myers she got a lower D score because she missed connections. That’s not really a mistake, she can perform the routine with the connections or without it. It just brings down the D score. If we think about it, I think she wasn't memorable because she wasn't. Andrade was really underscored in UB and BB, and the difference between Suni and Andrade was less than 0.2. Just fair scores would be enough.

I disagree. Andrade has the power but Suni has the power AND elegance. It was Andrade’s to lose but you can’t deny Suni fought harder. You could see her fighting for every .10 especially in the slower speed. She deserved the Gold and I’m glad someone who has old fashioned elegance and new era power won.

@@jcre6663 I don't think we can say someone who has leg separation on every single one of her flight skills on UB is very elegant on that apparatus. I do, however, agree her gymnastics are pleasing to watch, but maybe not elegant. I must also point out Andrade may not have elegance per se, but she definitely has artistry. A whole lot of artistry. And just a fair UB score would be enough to disprove your last statement, so I don't think I need to talk about that.
