I have to admit a grudging admiration for a really well pulled off bank robbery. It's interesting to see where the plans go wrong afterwards. Usually a combination of ego and greed. If I were to successfully rob a bank I would only do it once, and then lay low for the rest of my life. It wouldn't have worked. Like the narrator said, he had the chance to flee to Mexico. He chose to go back. He was tired of living on the run. His plan from that point forward was for his family and himself to die. He wanted to talk to the agent that arrested him earlier so he could try to make him feel like it was his fault. He just couldn't tolerate not being in control of a situation.
The last one.... Why did they call the room instead of staking out the place for a while? Two beautiful little girls died because they were in a rush to get him instead of being patient and waiting for a safer scenario. Smh

The bank burglary bandits were certainly clever, but not smart because they bragged about their crimes and told people what they had done. If true they stole about 30 million, they should have just quit. Greed makes people sloppy and when you are complacent, you get caught. I doubt many did that if any. Most people are honest.
Agent Schlumpf has a German name, but a Polish-American accent, therefore he is very likely half Polish.

Didn't lots of Germans move to Poland during and after the war?

@@headliner48 I don't know but that would make sense. There was the forced deportation also of the Sudeten Germans. To avoid that some would likely have gone into Poland. Eisenhower was part jewish and so was particularly vengeful against Germans after the war.

@@headliner48 Also was a German community in Lodz before the war, who had been invited to abide there by the Czar because they were able to weave. Before the war the Polish government created concentration camps and put many of the folks of Lenz thereinto, and beated some of the women until their uteri fell out of them. One man whom I knew in USA was from there; and his mother had been putted into a concentration camp outside of Lodz.

Oops I think it was Lodz not Lenz. I changed the message above accordingly.

Yes it is very affordable. I went last year for 3 weeks I visited. I traveled to Tokyo, shibuya, and Kyoto I spent about $3,800 including airfare. I enjoyed the convince stores and street foods mainly as well. I found a place that sells something similar to pineapple bowl noodles place in Kyoto that was about $4 and it was so filling and delicious.there are a lot of great little bakery’s and cafes that are very affordable.

What about the Statute of Limitations; how could they arrest Harry Barber after more than 8 years after the robbery?

Some crimes do not have statutes of limitations...

I'm not positive but I think the way statutes of limitations work is you have x amount of time to charge someone with the crime. If you charge th with it, even if you can't find them, you've stopped the clock on the statute. So I'm guessing they actually filed charges against him, but he was considered a fugitive fr justice. If it didn't work that way, anyone could commit a crime and then just hide from police to let the clock run out. But by charging them before you catch them, it stops the clock and even if they hide for several years, when you finally do find them they can still be taken to trial on the charges that were filed. Even if it was 8 years later.

Statues of limitations differ in every state, in the U.S.
Its not like they hurt anyone
Just imagine what the world would be like if people were valued the same as fucking property...
