@@indianlifeculture8008 copy is something which u blindly duplicate from start to finish. Neither SD or RD did that. They may done so with the mukhras, but never with the antaras. Even Tagore was inspired by several variations of Indian and Carnatic music and some Irish, English and German songs. He tempered and toned them down to Indian or Bangla music

Unbeatable music at any era and decade.

The love songs of RD are of a matured kind of love , unlike the young who have just discovered their love .RD , Kishore Kumar through the beautiful lyrics express the angst and pain of a matured love that faces obstacles in life and at times lost .The realisation that one's life has suddenly lost meaning in the absence of the other, give these songs the beauty. The pain resonates in the lyrics , words , expressions and above all composition of RD.These men felt pain at the loss of their loves and look at the result...sublime music of eternity ! As they say 'no pain , no gain '!

RD Burman was a born legend. There can be no body like him ever. He did not copy anyone but created his own unique style which others after him tried their best to emulate but just remained in his shadow. What a fantastic range right from Classical raagdari to Western hip-hop music to something so unique as 'Mera Naam hai Shabnam' from Kati Patang, each is a MASTERPIECE by itself. He created each and every song into a Timeless Classic which never appears outdated and feels fresh as always. Its really sad that there could be no one like him again in the Hindi Film Industry. The Musical era in the Film industry is clearly marked as 'Before RD' & 'After RD'. Its sad even God could not create second RD Burman.

Burman Da always like gold. I happened to be part of a film where R.D.Burman had scored the music. I was quiet new to the film Industry. The film was Sanam Teri Kasam of Producer Barkhaa Roy..and director Narendra Bedi...I was quiet young then ..college student.

What a coincidence! Out of the blue this evening of 27 June 2020, i felt like listening to R D Burman’s music and relax. So i searched his name on YT and played the first link in the results. On reading the description just out of curiosity, i realise it’s the legend’s birthday. May his music live long and keep us and tuned to the value of good old music compositions.
