Shocking when you think this had to compete against the mighty all conquering Audi quattro. When you look at the cars of the era the quattro made them look like cars that were 50 years older in looks and performance.

I was a service manager back when Buick sold Opels. (for years) Absolute unworkable junk! A 4 cylinder engine with only 3 main bearings, an oil screen pick-up the size of a golf ball, multiple lower end failures, steering rack bushings that worked their way out of the rack. Plastic fuel lines all the way, brakes worthy of a gokart. Rust-out? Oh yeah, that too!
