He's definitely sorely missed! the way that Danny John Jules delivers his lines is just perfect and I love how he adds that cheekiness to his role. Although speaking of lines, in the behind the scenes videos it seems that DJJ forgets his lines a lot ;)

I love Dwayne! He is a character, and that motorcycle….. great!

For all the serious plots the humour is always a wonderful part of the show

I miss Dwayne Myers, he was the show.

Dwayne is probably my favourite character in the whole series. Regardless of the change of personnel around him, he completes a very strong team.

Loved dwayne ....ladies man and such good fun !!

Dwayne was such a great character, with his 'Dwayne lovedust' as he called it. Loved his one-liners, really funny. Hope he pops back to Saint Marie in his boat again sometime.

I love this first team. I’m currently watching season 7 and it’s still fun, but the first two seasons will always be the best

Danny plays the character so well. I can understand why he would move on, to avoid being type cast, however selfishly I would have liked him to stay on, just to see what the writers could throw his way. Look forward to seeing him and the rest of the departed cast in new productions. Thanks again for putting these scenes on you tube!

This is a really great show. The first two series and this line up were the best. Kris Marshall was an excellent replacement for Ben Miller.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I wasn't sure about posting this video as it's different from my usual videos and the audio and speech sync was tricky (me being a novice), but I'll try this style again. Could have used more clips, but didn't want an overly long video - maybe will do a part 2 for this.

I only started watching the show two years ago and I can say that I love it. I was disappointed that it wasn’t on for the last two weeks but this week it was back.

Thanks so much Deborah! It was good to include the dialogue with the clips (instead of just music videos), some of the lines were brilliant. Loved what Dwayne said in the 'speed limit' clip. I'll work on some more videos in this format. :)

Yes agree dwayne was definitely the best, but they are all good in their own right. Each new detective you thought not sure because you liked the one before, especially when Ralf Little took over but you get used to it.

I was upset when we lost Richard and then Fidel after Fidel got involved in Humphreys secret that he has feelings for Camille :( But the show was still great. I like the new ones but the originals were the best

While ya were datin her ya also had a fling wit her sistah? Dorothy was her sistah?! AND HER AUNTIE?!? Alice was her auntie?!

having too many repeats, but the old team were the best, but all the inspectors were wonderful. but humphrey does not work well in uk. don't like the series, beyond paradise. please bbc first stop all the replays. especially midsummer murders it is getting boring and John Nettles is already dead for years. he look half dead in the last few series. look at his eyes! no disrespect to him. But remember he did bergerac and as an expat from Jersey Perhaps the Jersey people should open a book about John Nettles and the damage he caused! Mentally and physically
