One correction: Maria is a first soloist, not a principal dancer. She'll no doubt be elevated to principal, but there are other first soloists at the Mariinsky that are also potential principals.

To @ YuliyaKalugina yes Maria Khoreva's an excellent pianist 😊 at 10 or 11 she learnt to play Chopin: Impromptu No. 4 in C Sharp minor Op. 66 'Fantaise - Impromptu' and I reckon she makes a great pianist ❤ absolutely.

She is so ambitious and have the technique, but still she is lacking something to become a really big star, dont know actually what it is.?
for someone so young, she’s an incredible dancer and technician. she has a bright career ahead of her, especially when you think of how she’ll only improve as time goes on
She's adorable! Everything wonderful that is said about her may be described in our word: adorable!! 🩰🥰
We are lucky to see such a beautiful ballerina and know she will bring much to the ballet world in the future.

I was a dancer too but she is absolute perfection. I was far from being that good. It doesn't get any better than that. Her grace and skill are fantastic. There are no words for that.

Interesting. I find her more interesting to watch in the contemporary piece. The shapes she makes with her body are quite arresting.

She is great in contemporary pieces. She is just so raw and passionate
Omgg she is so good. Im literally in awe
She is perfect and dances correctly. I am moved by dancers who risk and push their limits, emotionally and physically.
She's such a delight to watch. I love her "port de tête" and the ever so graceful movement of her arms (reminds me of Oksana Baiul - Gold Medal Figure Skating in Lillehammer 1994).
Can’t wait to see her as Odette/Odile!

I did see Odette/Odile..she suffered an injury prior and was NOT ready to return just yet..it was a hot mess 😕
I think she does show a lot of artistry. With time it will improve but she has so much ability and skill.
Her lines and control are perfection. Absolutely exquisite

Regretfully the best of Maria Khoreva probably wont be known for another 60 years. Continuing "Regretfully" because I wont live that long. However to date all I've seen pleases me greatly and wish most fervently that Maria will have a long and brilliant career.

@@roderickhenman807 So that would be the future and not history. But I I agree with what you're saying. The technique is great but the emotional and acting side will improve with her age and life experiences.

She is stunning, love watching her, love those turns. I have learned a couple of those variations, they are very challenging to do, let alone do with exceptional excellence. As a dancer, I do however find that little bourre that happens on the final sous sous right at the end quite encouraging, that even the very best are tired by the end of their variation.
She has become one of my faves. So joyous to watch and such a technique.

I love her personality and of course her technique.But something is missing in her. I don't know maybe emotion maybe artistry. this is totally MY OPINION.I don't like watching her somehow... But she is an amazing dancer though. Btw , at 3:00 my favorite dance of her. her body and musicality matches totally like never have been. modern ballets look better on her for me. it fits. it gaves truly feels.

If I had to be her lawyer I would say that the she has been given are not very interesting. I mean aurora, paquita, raymonda or kitri are not interesting characters to me in those ballets it’s more about impressive technique. I don’t know how was her Giselle but I think her Nikiya is quite good. And she is young so I hope she will improve her interpretation.

@@mary.bx19 I've already said that her I love her technique and also ,those characters you name it above there, quite interesting actually. I mean, for god sake Kitri! Kitri is all about fire and energy. Aurora is all about innocence,purity and childhood. Raymonda is soooo noble and impressive. Etc etc

Theatral perception is very important for all ballets, only some of them are more important like you said Manon.I got your point my friend, also, romeo and juliet, othello, la dame aux camélias, la bayadere, Anna Karenina etc.

I wish people would spell her name right. It's really not difficult. Why do we always change the spelling of Russian names? It's Мария Хорева (p makes the r sound, B makes the v sound). I'm not even Russian and can remember this.

It’s translated to English so obviously it’s not going to be exact
She has amazing point work but in one of the scenes I could see that a pair of her point shoes were almost dead from how much use they've been through.

It seems that at 1'11", she was lost her balance a little bit, and then, quickly changed the course to get control back.
