I remember when this season was airing, most of the male fans were so bitter about the show focusing on the women. They were so butthurt that they were all convinced that Ryan was sleeping with the judges🙄

I think that the producers really wanted to amp up the feminist aspect. I honestly think that people thought it was annoying because of the way they edited it. There’s been alliances in past seasons but they were never really portrayed the way the girl alliance was.

If feminism annoys a person meh ignore and wait for the next season But now that they've done a feminist angled season id very much enjoy if they did one highlighting openly LGBTQAI artists.🤷🏾‍♀️

The reason they focused on women more that season was just because there were so many strong women! When the editing starts, they allready know the finalists so ofcourse they try to make an interesting storyline. There was no feminist agenda, just basic understanding of good entertainment

I thought that the judges final critique of Kelly was kinda weird. They basically said that she didn’t show them anything new, because she did new school again, but she didn’t have a choice, that’s the style she was assigned

I read this so often that I am now at the point of "do I even want to watch the other seasons?" :D

It sucks that she and Ryan were in the same season, because I would have loved to see Kelly win! Ryan totally deserved the win, but I also would have loved to see Kelly come out as Inkmaster!

kelly seems like such a genuine person and wants to form some type of bond with every client/canvas. what a sweetheart.

Kelly was always my favorite. She actually cared about the person she was tattooing and respected them. She put full effort into everything she did. She was never rude to anybody she was tatooing. She was just a genuinely good person

I teared up a little with the domestic abuse tattoo. She knocked it out of the park! So stunning and full of meaning for the woman she was tattoing. Fucking love dotty, she's so cool.

I missed this episode in her season somehow (or maybe it wasn't in the regular season 🤔... anyways) ... that tattoo was incredible and just one more example of why she's such an amazing, creative, passionate, artist! Love her ❤

She’s never done a bad tattoo ever. This girl is so gifted and amazing inside and out. She’s been thru some tough sh*t and it made her who she is now .. love her attitude 😊

The males getting irked out or feel threatened when the females were dominating in this season was so satisfying to watch. Ryan and Kelly were strong contenders without a doubt

The fact that she came up with that umbrella idea just from the woman’s story is absolutely incredible and makes me want to go get a tattoo from her right now. That was so thoughtful of her to create such a meaningful design and on top of that to go ahead and do a cover-up for her when she didn’t even have to was so kind.

Her umbrella tree was such an amazing and original idea. The execution was flawless, and I love her personality!

Every time Kelly opens her mouth it's golden. The stories and random convos you could have with her as a client would be freakin awesome

i just wanna be friends with her, she seems so lovely

Marvelous artist and wonderful personality.

Kelly was robbed of the title of ink master in my opinion. I love Ryan Ashley but she’s a one trick pony. Kelly rocks every style of tattooing.

She's literally a completely different caliber from what I've seen on this show. She's top notch.

I think she called herself a "swamp Queen" once and I fell totally in love. There just isn't a nicer person and she just is incapable of doing a bad tattoo.

She is so gifted. Personally, I don't wear tattoos, but I would love to commission an original piece of fine art that conveyed my spiritual rebirth. I'm an artist myself, but I'd treasure any work from a fellow artisan, who has such God given talent, with the utmost appreciation. ❤

On the Ink Master Subreddit, when the show's cancelation was announced, a crew member responded to it and mentioned that she was going to AT LEAST replace Peck in the finale. And if it were to continue, she would be his permanent replacement.

Another strong, weird, uber talented woman. Kelly is frikken awesome. I love the girl bond the gals formed in season 8, they rock

Listen. I’ve never watched this show, nor do I know anything about tattoo artist. But, Kelly is a pure gem. She develops a bond with her canvases and has such a passion that is both infectious and inspirational. If I ever get a tattoo in the near future I would want her to do it, especially for something sentimental to me.

I love that she connects with them as she gets ready to tattoo them and as she is tattooing them

I love her tattoos. The clean-cut lines, smooth blending, new style... she's amazing, and someday I want to get a watercolor tattoo from her.

Kelly was always a favorite, I love Ryan too but Kelly has the bubbly personality and sincere story behind the piece. The story can sell a tattoo better than skill, both are important but having a meaning specific to the client? Priceless. It is on my personal bucket list to get a tattoo by her and have her sign her name with it.

I love how she decided to cover up a bad tattoo even though she didn't have to.

I love the design for the natural dictated tattoo, that she celebrated the everyday object that saved this woman’s life. Plus the fact that she went ahead and made it a coverup as well when sooo many artists have pretty much made the client move the piece when it’d have to cover an old piece? Total professional+personal package.

She is the perfect tattooer: Not just insanely talented & at home with her own style, but also feeling her canvas and their needs, communicating openly and respectful. Too many tattooers are just craftsmen and artists, she is also a communicator and therapist.

Kelly is such a compassionate artist who really pours her heart into her work & even in a competition never takes for granted that her canvas is a human being with a story. She doesn’t need to talk any other artist down to bring herself up cause her work shines on its own. A true badass ❤️

"It's a good day for Kelly" We need more people like her. For real though if you're having a good day recognize it and tell yourself how good of a day you're having.

Kelly is my biggest inspiration. I'm currently studying art and design so I can work towards a tattoo apprenticeship. Sometimes is hella hard to stay motivated to get to where I wanna be but she definetely reminds me why it's my dream and why it's important to me. Perfect woman to celebrate for national woman's day.

If you know the symbolism behind medusa tattoos you'll know that they can sometimes be the most important tattoos a person can get.
