Kashara needs to be a DCC mentor. They need a mentor that has most recently retired and can still do the moves.

Nancy Guzman My thoughts exactly. Melissa Rycroft didn’t do dances as nearly as hard as the ones they do now. She also was a DCC for 2 years almost 15 years ago. They need someone more relevant.

I do think KaShara would be a better mentor. Melissa is pushing 40, and while she can still offer insight to the rookie candidates, I feel like she is past her prime as a dance mentor.

I can appreciate KaShara's arc much more now. Sometimes, we viewers think the dancers come into the squad "fully-formed", so to speak. KaShara is proof that the DCC really does foster a growth mindset.

@@zeebee9356 Hecks naw! I'm not a dancer although my younger sister was. However, as a tutor and teacher I have learned that sometimes the kids who come in the strongest don't always lead the pack by the very end. The opposite is also true. Maddie, who shares the point with Amy now, got cut from her first training camp. Today she is a crowd and guest judge favorite. So you can't always predict how training camp will end and who the final squad members will be.

My all-time favorite, but how can a Best of KaShara video not include any footage of her solos, her swimsuit photos, coming back after fracturing her arm during rehearsal, etc. She deserved more, especially with how she rose to become such a respected leader of the squad.

KaShara ended up leaving an impression that I’ve not seen from any other lady on DCC. She was honest to the point of painful, I’ve not seen/heard her ever make excuses for her mistakes. Most impressive, she stayed true to herself. Her time with DCC may have smoothed the edges as a gem, but she never changed who she IS to conform to others ideas of “perfect”! I hate she was put in a position that led to retirement. Maybe in the future she can come back and help the new leaders of DCC bring the organization into the current times to showcase what smart, powerful, talented women can do!

@@2themoon863 people speculate a variety of reasons like age, weight gain but we will never know because Kashara herself never gave us an answer. I like to believe that it’s because she achieved everything a DCC could in her 3rd season and her father was ill in her 3rd season, making it tough for her. However, she pushed on for another year (4th season) out of love for DCC and I guess she decided it was time to retire. Most stars stay about 4-5 years anyway, so it’s pretty normal. Anyway, Kashara is working in DCC now behind the scenes, so thats great for her!

Kashara is one of my all time favorite DCC. She deserved to be the point of the triangle. I love her expression when she eats the shrimp lol.

I loved the look of pride on Judy’s face when she put KaShara into the point position.

You could tell she felt bad taking over the point from Jenna. But she did a great job.

Florence De Roo she lost her spot as the point on the triangle because she knew Holly had been fraternizing with one of the players and didn’t say anything. She also wasn’t allowed to go to the hall of fame performance.

One of my favourites as well. A great DCC.

I swear they need to hire her to teach. I want her there all the time. I want kashara to be best Friends with Judy and Kelli

I do miss her energy & sass. I’d like to see her in Melissa Rycroft’s spot. Still using Melissa to consult but KaShara is more “relatable” to the rookies at this point.

I really love KaShara. She epitomizes the quintessential American girl. Her sunny personality, generous spirit and humility, and let me not overlook her sense of humor and ready smile are so DCC at its best. And dang it! I'm 73 and now a DCC addict!

KaSharas energy and spunk is amazing. She's what gave me the confidence to truly rock out and perform in improve at my dance studio. She inspired me to be me and I would be in a little shell if it wasn't for her!!!

KaShera has sooooo got the IT-factor, she is very beautiful, funny and a great dancer too:-)

I was always underwhelmed by Meredith, and thought she had to have connections somewhere, because she might have excelled at classical dance but wasn't up to DCC standards.

Kashara is the person who would lift you up on a rough day

KaShara is my favorite dcc, her humor, her energy, I love her southern accent.

Crying during her retirement speech like i know her!!! Omg 😭😭😭

I've always like KaShara's energy. She has a good heart, a fun attitude.

KaShara is one of my all-time favorites. Her energy and spirit can't be matched. When I see her come back, brings a smile. She needs to work for DCC full time.

I really enjoyed watching KaShara and to watch her grow to being a leader and point of the triangle. She made it to be the point after she got in trouble in her first season for wearing the wrong uniform (I was shocked to see Kelli just about lose it over the wrong uniform. If that’s the worst thing that ever happens then that’s great). I hope she is dancing again for others to enjoy.

I'm not 100% sure but KaShara might be the only DCC from Kentucky. I knew she's from the mountains when she first spoke. If you are from Kentucky you know where someone is from in the state the second they say something. You go around the state what people say and the way they say it can change dramatically.

The good 'ol days. Nice to see Kashara. Is DCC Making the Team on TV anymore? I have not been able to find it for a couple of years. It was a good way for us to get to know all of the competitors and really showed how much skill and time it took to be on the team.
