1:17 Just for fun, or as James would say from his stand up, to play devil's advocate (or...God's?), there actually is a verse in the Bible about God bettering himself. Hebrews 2:10 talks about the Isaiah "arm of the Lord" (or the Messiah) becoming perfected through suffering. James is like the perfect guest for this show. it makes me want to go there just on his food reaction, honestly!

I've just listened to Off Menu ep.200, where James talks about this French toast and, by his reaction, I can see why this made his dream menu lol

It's delightful to see other people doing happy dances over their food! 😊

Joe and James are both incredibly talented comedians. Put them together and you have magic! Love it!

James is funny

They could almost be brothers in looks and how they play off each other so well. Brilliant!

Joe and James are the type of people I like to eat well with and drink happily and slowly through the day. Smashing!

This was my favorite episode of this already delightful series. They vibed like brothers.

Born and bred in Bilbao, so very happy to see these 2 troublemakers there. Segment was way too short though; didn't make the Basque Country justice but I guess most of us just watched the video because Joe and James were in it and don't really care about the traveling bits. As an aside, a shame that the green north of Spain is still so unknown in the UK. Not just the Basque Country but also Cantabria, Asturias, etc. It may be rainy over there for a long part of the year but the magnificent beaches, fairy tale like forests and magical mountains more than make up for it.

No, it's not a shame. It really isn't. It's a blessing in disguise it hasn't been discovered by the UK masses. Think what's happened to the costas and Benidorm in particular.

The general story suggests that a Colonel John Staunton Rochford (1802-1844) returned from fighting in the British army in the Napoleonic Wars. He was credited with some act of valour while fighting around the Spanish city of Bilboa. Hence he became known as Rochford of Bilboa and the area was thereafter known by the same name.

Too upbeat, anyone that thinks wine and coke is a great drink should never give advice on food.

I honestly think that Lycett is one of the worst comedians they could have picked for travel man. He is funny, don't get me wrong, but he's rarely doing well when interacting with other comedians because his brand relies heavily on self-presentation. Ayoade is funny because he's got a dry humor, and can lighten up a situation with quick, witty responses without stealing someone's spotlight. Ayoade could be funny while being the straight man. Lycett doesn't seem to have that same talent.

This episode was a disaster ....acaster is just not funny
