My wife and I spent a day on Bainbridge Island while visiting Seattle from the Milwaukee area for our 20th anniversary in July 2013. 10 days ZERO rain. You know how to tell native "Seattle-lites" from tourists? The natives don't have umbrellas, only tourists. Very user friendly island easily walkable with good restaurants, shops, galleries, bakeries, art museums etc. And the ferry ride out and back is beautiful especially on the way back in the evening. The Seattle Skyline wonderful.

This was a great show..
The irony is that nobody in the UK calls an umbrella a 'bumbershoot'. 'Bumbershoot' is actually a word of american origin, not British. We do sometimes call it a 'brolly' though.
