Timika, You are my favorite UTUBE craft teacher, you show what you used, the prices you paid and alternative things you can use !!
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing it with us. I make these bookmarks, and I use the Dollar Tree elastic hair ties, and their elastic headbands for theses. You get 8 of the headbands, and 100 hair ties for $1 each package. I package them much like you did here. I sell them 2 on a card, $4 a card or 2 cards for $7. They are a good seller, especially for my church ladies. I also slip a card of them into my Mother's day gift baskets, with a couple of candles, a travel sized hand lotion, a book or one of my handmade journals, a couple of tea bags, a set of note cards and a pen. I package it in or around a vintage tea cup and saucer that I get at thrift stores , yard sales, and flea markets, throughout the year.

You are fantastic. I have been watching your video for a hour now. I really love them.
Love making and giving bookmarks. These are wonderful. Thank you. 💐
Thanks for sharing. I bought supplies awhile back and never made them.
I love these! I would suggest that when measuring the length of the ribbon for the first version that you measure from the middle of the book, not just the cover to account for the additional thickness of the pages.
These are adorable! Thank you for your time.
Hi Tmika! Made several of these but put them in sets 1 lg and 1 sm for hardcover and paperback books Also used some dangly charms on them. Hoping they will do well.

PaperFlowerJunkie WHOO Hoo!!!
I thought about ribbon bookmarks. I kind of like the elastic ones. May have to add a few to the list.
These are absolutely pretty and easy to make. I also have a very hard time working with beads, charms, etc. My hands just seem so big when working with them. I can't even twist the darn jump ring easily...lol Thank you again for this series.

keep up your good work !!
Nice idea. Tfs.
Funny to see that.. I have those on my TO DO list on Pinterest as well... LOL Those are darling girl.... I need to give it a try - need to rase some $$$ for my son's college expenses...
I like the bookmarks good ideal
To cute!
Hey, Tmika! Love these bookmarks! I have so many ideas using supplies I already have! I used to sear the edges of my ribbon using a lighter, too! Recently, I purchased a ribbon cutter/sealer made by We R Memory Keepers from HSN! It works great and is much safer! LOL! Thanks for sharing another great craft! Take care! Your friend from Fort Worth.

I find that fray check or clear nail polish works great for me.
I haven't seen the elastic ones yet... Love it! Thank you for sharing. Also, you were using your 3-in-1 tool, the flat part in the middle can help you clamp and open and close your jump rings easier.

us2tha1 Thank you!!
So pretty
Love the ideal, add that to my list of things to make, T4S
I love your tutorial. you're so easy to follow. These book markers are adorable . I bought some hair ties from Dollar Tree. You much do you sell these at a craft fair? With the ribbon and the charm they cost close to a dollar to make.
When you have done one of your craft show, could you do an update on what sold great and for how much? Maybe infor m at ion like if you would mark things differently.
TFS, great idea! I have never seen the elastic cord at Walmart and I am desperately looking to buy some. I even checked Michaels, when I was visits my sons in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and they only carry ribbon. Thanks again!

You can also just use elastic hair ties and you wouldn't need the cording. Also, if you make the long ribbon book marks that hang off the page, you probably already have ribbon at home. To make really elegant ones, use a velvet ribbon. They sell the metal clamps wherever jewelry supplies are sold and they come in different lengths. The best tool to use for clamping them closed and also opening and closing jump rings are jewelry "pliers" shaped kinda like needle nose pliers. Unlike needle nose pliers, they are completely smooth. They sell them wherever jewelry supplies are sold, including Walmart etc. You can pick up a pair pretty inexpensively. It doesn't matter what size your hands are when you have the right tools. I find it best to use two pairs, one for each hand, that way I have a good grip on the jump ring. Jewelry charms are really, really easy to attach if you have the right tool, or in my case tools. You could even add the ribbon closure (the one with prongs) to both ends of the ribbon and attach the charms on both ends.
I put a similar design to be sold with my Journals
Very cute idea:-)
Where I am going to have the craft fair, there are a lot of church ladies, so I could do these bookmarks for their bibles... hm...
These are pretty, does the hot glue keep it together? Even after streching over n over? Tfs
thank you!
