Tbh I didn't understand Max's petty toward Mike when I first watched season 3...until I did a series rewatch before season 4- the perfect payback: stealing your girlfriend and being besties. I know Mike was cold because he was depressed and El was jealous, but I'm still so amused by the end result. Female friendships are precious.

One of the more regrettable things about El being separated from the other kids throughout almost all of season 2 is that she's rather cold to Max when they finally meet in the finale, and yet the two are like best friends by the start of season 3. Which means El making friends with another girl her age for the first time happened entirely off-screen.

I loved the relationship of El and Max, I feel max helped el be more of a teenager, creating her own being in the show.

I love that one word from eleven in the right tone shuts Max up laughing so much and I mean this in the best way possible Millie Bobby Brown is so good at playing a confused but powerful character.

I really enjoyed the whole “boys ain’t shit” vibes these two had pretty much all season...I’m happy Max and El became great friends

I feel like that too. I still do. I mean, the way she talks to her and touches her(like when she was helping Eleven when her ankle got all messed up) it just seems like she cares about her more then just as a friend. I would love that ship to sale but I don’t think it will happen, unfortunately.

@@kipperthedog789 yeah, that would kinda ruin things for a lot of people if they got together (because Mike and Elle have really good chemistry). Honestly, I watch Stranger Things wishing I could find a guy who loves me like how Mike loves Eleven ...but I thought it more feasible that Max liked Eleven than Robyn being a lesbian and not attracted to Steve (they seemed to lay a lot of ground work in them being a couple until the bathroom scene which was kinda sweet to be fair). I don't know why, but I kinda thought Max being gay may have worked better maybe than Robyn? (There's no need for comparison, but still...there needed to be a lesbian character perhaps for representation? Similar to the hints that were there is season 1 for Will?) Max being shown to be attracted to Elle may have explained why Max was so tumultuous towards Lucas, and wanted Elle to leave Mike?
