i'm just waiting to see some CP units i've help rebuild. I've done tons of work on these units. I helped install the first ZTR NEXSYS on a SD60. It was a awesome project. I really hate wiring on SD60's though....

@@TracksideTyson CMQ was recently acquired by CP so it’s basically a CP unit that hasn’t been repainted. Not sure if they are going to repaint them or just retire them since they are 34 years old.

I have a question: do the different private railway companies in North America normally exchange locomotives with each other on a regular basis? If so, as in the case of the Union Pacific locomotive operating in Canada, does that mean that the Union Pacific company in the United States also has a Canadian Pacific locomotive among its rolling stock? Will the Union Pacific locomotive that we watch in the video definitely stay in Canada forever? Here in Europe that phenomenon usually never occurs. Each company has its own wagons and locomotives that they never give or lend to other companies, although they can circulate in complete compositions in other states, but they always return to their place of origin. Thanks in advance ;)

The 2 railroads here in Canada are CN and CP with UP being foreign power seen here in Canada along with any other US railroads you’ll see here. CP runs a lot of there trains in the US and railroads often borrow power from other railroads, seeing Union Pacific is the most common to see for foreign power on CP besides other US railroads. @AndreiTupolev CN is the bigger railroad! CP has gone through different owners and have had there ups and downs but CN definitely looks more successful and I believe they have more trackage in Canada and the states, CP runs more into the coast of Vancouver where as CN does here and towards Prince Rupert.
