she put her father and ranch at greater risk. There's alot of dead bodies in the "train station" and jamie can easily rat out the family for a plea deal. Because he can put rip, Loyd and many others as people who killed and dumped the bodies on behalf of john dutton. And she could be charged as an accessory for the murder of jamies biological father. And conspiracy to commit murder since it was one of her options she gave to him. She may be a loyal daughter but I don't see the intelligence in this because if I can see that jamie can now be a bigger threat than so can the writers.

Also, maybe blame the so called professional “abolition clinic,” when they did the procedure without even informing the patient of the outcomes. I really want to believe that even though she beat him back down and pushed him away again in the scene where he took her advice and respectfully announced it to his family. I'd love to see Jamie finally get right up in Beth's grille and say "You know what Beth....F**k you!!!" I mean with a finger pointed at her and just let her have it verbally like she does to him.. But he cowers down to Beth every time she gets on one of her rants. Jamie's a brilliant lawyer and goes to bat for John whenever he demands. He just recently got Beth out of jail because she can't control herself. He killed his real father who wanted to take the Dutton family down. What more do they want??!! And the decision that made Beth sterol was sad and unfortunate, but she's smart enough to know by now that it was not entirely his fault. She needs to let it go! I mean they were both young when she needed help. How would he know exactly what he signed her up for or what the long term ramifications were. And she keeps threatening him for things she really can't prove. I hope the writers really give Jamie a chance to stand up to Beth. It looks like they might be headed that way this season where Jamie might just screw the whole family business wise. And to be honest...I kinda hope he does. They treat him like a s**t anyway.

Just like she should've kept her legs closed. The problem is Beth has never been one to take responsibility for anything. At least Jamie admitted his part in what happened to her. Both of them were young, dumb, and scared. Thing is, I think 20-25 years is long enough (really too long). She needs to just move on and learn to forgive (and own up to her part in it). @Neon Rodenson at the didn't tell her what the consequences were for doing the abortion. Another thing Jaime is 5 years older than Beth. Beth was 15 when she got the abortion. He was old enough to tell her, even if he wasn't, he still should've told her and given her the option to change her mind if she wanted to. No abortion place was going to let a minor sign off on another minor to get an abortion. Which therefore suggest he was of legal age. No matter her poor choices, in as you say, "opening her legs, "... Jaime took her ability to have kids. Do you think, if she would've known, she would've gone through with it? Maybe she would've, as Promiscuous as she was. Who knows. But it would've been her choice. Yeah, they were both scared. It's still not an excuse for him to have kept that from her. So her feelings are valid. Now, at her age, she wants to have kids, and she can't because of the choice Jaime made. Whether she wanted to have the abortion she didn't know she would become sterile afterward. How is that fair?

Jamie "helping" Beth with her abortion and getting her sterilized is the reason she hates him.... Or at least that how's I interpreted it last season. As kids they seemed to naturally antagonize each other, which is normal to me because they're siblings and extremely different. But I think the whole abortion thing became the reason why Beth hated Jamie with such a passion, along with him being a political, more ambitious character that Beth can't respect because of how she is. Idk about John - seems like he just never understood Jamie. John is loyal to an extreme, wants only his ranch and his family together, doesn't have much aspiration beyond that but takes power in order to keep things the same. Jamie is a social and political climber and generally out of place at the ranch. He loves Jamie, he's said this before, but it doesn't mean he likes him. Whereas Kayce I think represents everything John respects and likes in another man. Just my two cents!

In season 3 it was revealed that Jamie took the teenage Beth to get an abortion after she became pregnant by Rip and didn’t tell her that she was getting a hysterectomy. Now she and Rip can never have a child together. Beth hates him for that as well as how he handles himself and matters related to the ranch. John hates him because he is different from all the other sons that he has raised and makes decisions that are more about his future than the future of the ranch. However, she asked him to make it go away without anyone else knowing. If he had taken her to a legit hospital, there would be trails back to Beth being pregnant. He had to take her where he did, which only offered sterilization. They were both young and didn't want any trouble, and were only doing what they thought best. How they make Beth so narrow-minded and hateful of it all is what I don't get. Her hatred for Jamie is still very uncalled for.

I'd really like to see their dynamic grow from that because I think there's kernels of more complexity in their relationship here and there. There's alot of dead bodies in the "train station" and jamie can easily rat out the family for a plea deal. Because he can put rip, Loyd and many others as people who killed and dumped the bodies on behalf of john dutton. And she could be charged as an accessory for the murder of jamies biological father seeing that she was there taking pictures. he can say she did that to blackmail him after what he did to her when she was pregnant. That can be seen as motive to force him to commit murder. And conspiracy to commit murder since it was one of her options she gave to him. She may be a loyal daughter but I don't see the intelligence in this because if I can see that jamie can now be a bigger threat than so can the writers.

This storyline is so forced and absurd. First of all, they’d never perform this on her without her knowing. She basically blames him for her own fuckup and it’s absurd. Her character is lame

Still the same old Beth in season 5. As much as I don't like Market Equity in this series, you can't blame Jamie for wanting to escape the constant bullshit abuse. I used to like Beth but character development just doesn't exist with her character.

Nope not really. She's not a likable character. I tend to ignore her scenes. Jamie isn't too likable either but there are times I do kind of feel sorry for him. The whole family needs therapy. John messed them all up.

@@nissaniss4251she really is annoying. Like Jamie isn’t very good either but he’s easier to like because he isn’t constantly walking around like a spoiled entitled brat who hides behind a name. 5 seasons lol.. it’s been 5 seasons and her scenes with him are ALL basically the SAME.

This shows is great. Let me tell you and it just keeps getting crazier and crazier when more episodes will or probably will come out but there’s this one thing that I think it would just set the top over since Jamie now in this season is basically evil, when it be crazy if Jamie kills Beth

Honestly I’ve seen long-standing resentments in families like this. It’s the product of dysfunction that leads to toxicity and it’s coated in “manners” of not ever dealing with the core of issues.

12:10 this begs the question what if Jamie told Beth the truth about getting a hysterectomy after he took her to the clinic for an abortion. What if Beth kept a child all for herself what if she told John the truth then what will happen. But most of all how did young Beth got pregnant in the first place? And who got her pregnant?

When beth sends that vegan girl to prison john was so angry and starts talking about morals and right and wrong. But when beth almost made jamie kill himself he didn’t do anything to her. I’m not saying it’s all john’s fault but some of it definitely is, he sees how she treats jamie all the time and he even agree with her and never ever defended jamie even before he knew about the sterilization
