RIP Anthony Bourdaine such a culinary icon 💖
Tom doesn’t laugh heartily often on Top Chef, so it was wonderful seeing him do so several times in this vignette because of the late, great Anthony Bourdain’s comments.

I love seeing Tom lighten up, he’s too serious sometimes. Bourdain softened up too, he used to hate celebrity chefs like Emeril and Wolfgang Puck.

He was the best celebrity chef bar none. He was funny, down to Earth and genuine

He actually apologized to Emeril, because he thought he was making a farce of the culinary world. But eventually he came to respect celebrity chefs.

I love how Tom hears Anthony get going and just puts a hand over his mouth.
Dear Anthony in the Great beyond, I followed your show faithfully like you were an old friend. Miss you greatly. Wherever you are... Merry Christmas!

Anthony gave no crumbles. He didn't care if you graduated from an elite cooking school and worked a five star restaurant. Never try to go one on one with him when he critic your dish. Just learn from him and the judges.

Yes, and so sad he took his own life, and robbed his daughter of her father.
Couldn't stand him
