I’m 72 married in 1970, a widow now but I still have our large collection of albums from late 1960s & 1970s. The world was so different then, better for sure. I often play them even though I cry while I listen. How lucky we were to have lived during the greatest music times ever!

If only Karen Carpenter knew how beloved she was she might have lived. Her fans could of cared less what she weighed!! Her voice was what we loved!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with her!!! She was Beautiful!!! Her voice was a gift from God in my opinion, as I view anyone’s gift in life!! The media judged her so harshly!!! She had so much more to give us to enjoy!!! What a tragedy!!!!! Such a loss!!!

We married young, & our first song at wedding was Karen Carpenter's " we've only just begun" She was an absolutely amazing woman, & put so much into her music,& am thrilled to be part of her life! Life is short, but mostly for the ones who do so much to help others out in times of desperate times! Karen & Richard are always such an inspiration, & it's so sad the new generation will Never understand what true music was like,& how it helped change people's lives all over the world!! God Bless the Carpenters! Miss their music every day!!

The 70s and 80s a time when people knew people, you talked for hours instead of texting, you could sit with someone and just listen to music. People watched concerts instead of filming concerts, You didn't need to take pictures of yourself every two minutes. God I miss being bored with my friends talking and getting in innocent trouble. Good times I am sorry my son will never know what we had.

@Michael Toanone Man I wish I would have said that...perfectly stated! We who grew up in the '70's especially (being 15 in '76 in my case) had a glorious time. I lived in Tampa Bay and at sunset there would be no plan---there'd just be one or two of us on the playground of a school, passing a joint and a few more would drift by, some we knew, some we didn't...didn't matter. We torched another spliff and passed it around. Someone who looked older than his age offered to go get some strong drink...we settled on wine. We all pitched in and he was back in no time. The sun had clocked out leaving a trippy fiery pink sky. Then from a transistor radio was turned on and "New Kid In Town" by the Eagles started playing. The weed was good, the wine sweet, a girl sang along with the music and we had no reason to believe it would not be that way forever.

Do this: I don't know if you're a believer. Time to be one. 1) Ask the Holy Spirit to come to you and give you strength, peace and calm and take the cancer away. Repent and forgive yourself and others. - They say cancer is a blockage of energy in the body. Forgive to get rid of negative emotions and energies that get bottled up in the body. ***They found out cancer is a fungus. Balance your Body's acidic environment by balancing your body's PH in item #2, next. 2) Have a full glass of filtered water, stir a leveled table spoon of baking soda until water becomes clear, then, squeeze the juice of one lemon, stir. Take any lemon seeds out of the glass and drink all. The lemon becomes alkaline in the body when you drink it. This balance your body's PH and acid in your body. Cancer thrives in an acidic environment. Do it everyday. 3) I read long ago a protocol to cure cancer was to take 5 grams of vitamin C = 5,000 mgr. Buy a bottle of vitamin C in 1,000 mgrs and have 5 tablets per day. Start with 3 tablets and increase it to 5 in a week. Search on google for cancer fighting foods. 4) Juice up. There was a German doctor who had a disease fighting juice protocol for different types of cancer. His daughter had an office here in United States. I don't know if she's still alive. She was in her 80s years ago. One juice to fight some cancer tumors was to drink the juice of green apples, the Granny Smith apples with the juice of carrots about 4 full glasses a day for a couple of months until its disappearance. Look this up, you might find it. This juice protocol cured cancer tumors on a kid by drinking it everyday. Blessings. P.S: Ask your doctor if you can get on a High Intravenous Vitamin C treatment and if can help cure your cancer or live a longer and better life. Just ask your doctor.

I was born in December 1947, right at the beginning of the BB Boom! (My Dad came back from the Pacific in early 1947, and I was born 9 months later). I lived in London (UK) through the BEST years of Music. I came to N. America at 18, followed by the "British Invasion" and I've lived the best life with music. Last week I went for a drive, and singing along with Oldies I was young again! (I am sure that other drivers thought the "old Lady" was having a fit!) I haven't yet grown up, my kids say that I am still younger than they are! Rock on, fellow Boomers we are STILL the cool generation ( well some of us are, anyway!).

Well, I’m soon to be 75 and I can’t believe we had the best music of our time. It is still played and many groups visit my hometown and I try to go and see them. My boys also grew up on this music and my one son who passed away last February 8 love the Beatles as much as I do, My other son ended up playing in a metallic band and appreciated all music. He plays many instruments, and he is really good. He now works in business and finance and he’s such a good man and a good person. Thank God for music of our time.

All of us that were so blessed.... we were teenagers and growing up in the 70's with great music and more peace and simplicity, more freedom as kids with less worries about safety, but of course back then we didn't know how special it was. We still can be blessed today by looking up and not looking for worldly things and people to make us happy which will fail us. I wish the generations now could experience the life we had back then and how great it really was and then they would understand how emotional we get when the music takes us back to a time, place or a lost love. It's just hard to explain unless you've been there and experienced it but I know the age 60 ish knows where I'm coming from 💜 Bless.

We need to preserve this beautiful music as well as preserve the freedom we are allowed to live which our constitution gives us! If we don't come together as a whole and quit jumping around and getting all "divided up", we are all going to lose what is so beautiful and PRECIOUS to us all-- it's called Being Free to live where we want to live, work wherever we want& own our own businesses, teach our children in whatever way we wish- home school, public school or private, worship at whatever church we wish, and live whatever American Dream we can dream up-- if we want to work hard and achieve it! This is America!! We need to come together and quit being so divided, my friends💘. Big time elites & the owners of media want to OWN US! YES, that's right, they want to OWN US and We need to stand up and JUST SAY NO!!! WE CAN DO THIS FRIENDS, YES WE CAN! Stop letting the things on the news divide us. I have stopped watching the news and am now more focused on staying connected with friends, going to church, and i just turn off the TV most of the time! I don't care about political parties either! NOPE! I think they could be involved in dividing us too!!! I could care less about political parties! Anyways just thought I'd share this! Happy oldies music sharing & REMEMBER to Love Your Neighbor as you would have them Love You!

Yes, inflation, Watergate, Nam, but I listen to these songs and see what has been looking at in this present morass of our societal norms, values being torn apart. Kids being ready to by drag queens, 'music' corrupted by rap and auto tune. Cardi B making millions from filth. Finally, kids who don't know how to play outside anymore.

You guys make me feel like I should be in diapers. I was born in 1965. But, I have four older siblings. Because of them, I grew up on this music. So, I guess I look too young to appreciate it. But, assuredly, I do. It was my music, too. I’m just thankful I came along when I did. A beautiful time!

My God...this just came on after an old Poco song...and i was just so excited and filled with happiness and peace! So many of my very earliest beloved songs...and honestly i had forgotten they existed!! I was born in that weird year of 1966...and music, songs, lyrics and instruments have been ingrained in the very deepest part of me as long as I can remember. And i love each and every genre of music...I can do it all from Bluegrass to metal to soul...with all others sprinkled in. Lol, I have been a member of the KISS Army since 8 years old, have been a Stetson wearing cowboy booted country dancer, an 80's hair band groupee, a harley riding "old lady" to my ex husband, a tent camping clogging n mandolin playing blugrass festival traveler...now i am just a divorced grandma at 50 something, with no interests and less ambition, lol. I guess that is just sad and pathetic, 😂but I am perfectly content on my own, staying at home with the dog n cats n my grandson. I always have my music though, i love it all and it can ease any problem i may have. Sometimes I just enjoy being alone, singing along to these mellow beauties and into the feelings and memories they bring. And i feel very selfish and protective of my me time, lol. Prob why single. But anyway...i am loving this set of songs...there are more bands and acts i have forgotten I love than not, so whoever posted this collection, I am eternally thankful! ✌❤
