Love these oldie goldies, I'm 79, boy does the time fly!

WoWWoW...at 70 years young I'm still listening to these oldies with all the words lol..my Parents have/still have those old glass cabinets with the section of where one can play the long played records and seven singles..I have inherited it as a school kids I also use to lay underneath to listen to Afrikaans story telling but weekends it was oldish and my elder Sisters now at ages of 80/82 with flat shoes and bright colour dresses and curls with flowers in their hair dancing stumping their feet with oldish playing very loud. Our neighbors never complaint and those were the years..; Never to Forget...Ooh Lord those were the care-free days with no violence..❤❤

79 now and grew up through the golden years of Rock & Roll. If we do get returned to this life put me back in '43 so I can do it all again.

I remember working with my dad (1939 - 2001), we built engines, tuned cars, drove fast, and always had the 50s music to keep us going.. he's passed.. and I'm lost but he's always with me thru these songs

Wir hatten einen alten Plattenspieler, etliche Schellackplatten, 'das alte Försterhaus', 'es hängt ein Pferdehalfter an der Wand' etc, bis meine älteren Brüder anfingen, die aktuelle Musik zu hören. Wir hörten ständig Musik, ich lernte die Texte, auch die englischen, was ungemein half, Englisch zu lernen. Es war ne richtig geile u fröhliche Zeit. Ich in mei en Eltern überaus dankbar, für all die Liebe!

I was a WWII war baby and grew up with this music. I wrap myself with it like a blanket that never wears out! Watched American Bandstand every day when I came home from school.

And our parents thought we were running wild!!! Our skirts were too short, blouse is too tight, my goodness good girls don’t wear jeans! Slacks of any kind for girls were outlawed in school until the 70s! It’s amazing I’ve talked to some of the younger generation lately and they love our music! There’s hope for our kids and grandkids, oh and also great grandkids!

I am past my dancing days but one thing I enjoy (other than listening to the classics) is watching videos in which young people are listening to a song like 'Unchained Melody' for the first time. The astonishment and then the pure enjoyment on their faces makes it clear that these songs will live on through the decades.

My family grew up on the songs of the 50s, I remember my uncles and aunts dancing to these songs in the house in which we lived, and I went to sleep hearing these beautiful love songs. I do not believe that they had any idea that these beautiful songs would put me to sleep. I remember as young as 2-3 yrs of age....you never know what you say or what you do as an adult can influence the mind of a young child ...rather it is good or bad...so parents understand your baby and little child will remember your voice, your songs you sing them etc. and they will remember if you really loved them...Peace, true love and kindness towards one another....are gifts that are priceless.....

I love the music in the 50 60s & 70s best music ever thank you for having it for people to hear

This music makes think back to being a young girl growing up. Life was so simple and held such innocence . The world would be much better than it is now if people listen to this music more. Every one i talk to says they feel hope, love,happy, relaxed and look forward to whats happing tomorrow. I had a lot of trauma in my early childhood but this music always made me feel happy, and looking forward to a better day. I have always loved music and so does my son. We always had the radio on. He listened to one style music and me another. When I went out of the house he would put it on the station he liked . When I came in I'd change back to where I had it. We never argued about it. Just when one left it was time to change again. It seems so funny now. When you're a kid no worries.

I know every song word for word. This music is what I grew up on. Still timeless

I remember my parents who used to listen to these kind of music when i was still a child, which i came to love listening to them now…thank you for bringing them back…

I went to sock hops. Danced to all these songs. Those days r gone. They r still in my heart and my memories. Best yrs ever.

I was born in 1961, my mom and dad listened to all these songs and it made me smile seeing how music brought them together. They would have they're speakers out blaring the songs. Oh what a time to live. I miss everyone of them. The neighbors and my family so much!! Those were really the days !!!

1 second ago 4/22/2023 Born 1965. Grew up watching my parents and Aunt listening to this music. At the time I thought it was old fashioned and corny. They gone now. I listen now missing them with tears in my eyes.
