Best of 2013: July to December

I suppose you're all wondering why I'm putting up another Best of 2013 video. Well to put it quite simply after I uploaded the last one, I realised there was so much more that I wanted to put in. So I scrapped the four shots per month idea, got editing, and came up with this. Split up into two parts, this is my review of 2013, I'd stick the kettle on if I were you.

2013 certainly was an interesting year for me, let's see what 2014 brings! Thank you to all of you who watched, commented, liked, favourited and subscribed in 2013, the year I finally reached 1,000 subscribers, I number I never thought I'd reach when I started over six years ago!
Further information on the included shots can be found on their individual videos, where they can also be watched in full. As in an effort to keep the video length down, I tried to keep the shots as brief as possible.
All filmed on a Panasonic HS900, using either Pro Sound L92AA or Panasonic VW-VM2SE microphones.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought I was looking at one of those superb gauge 1 model schools which I covet...... (that I covet??) Anyway, the schools though obviously prone to slipping, in the right hands is not only the "little engine that could" but "the little engine that can!" Great video, thanks.
Glad to see a bit of footage from Brookwood in there, my nearest station and one I've filmed from several times! If you think you'll go back there at some point give me a bell :) Louis

Fantastic! 25:23 is a postcard but all of it is done so you feel right there. I live in Virginia, USA. I model in O scale, 1.25 in gauge. Is it possible to get models for the cars on the train at 25:23 or plans for the cars? Thanks so much.

Wonderful video - you've certainly got a way with the camcorder! TVM.
Your audio pickup is excellent. Are you using an inbuilt, directional, or a stand alone microphone?
I was there at the Great Gathering. However I didn't even know me and my Mother just went there on that exact day. Then when we went again quite recentyl we were told that was a 1 in chance time that'd happen. We also saw the Flying Scotsman that time. Thank you for sharing that amazing 1 time rare event.
can you tell me why some trains have a diesel on the back, or indeed immediately behind the loco .....is it for banking purposes ....... just and ignorant enjoyer of steam trains here
why they don't stop at these stations

+Samuel Zelter Out here in the US, most steam locomotives have to use a diesel for dynamic braking and to provide HEP power to the passenger cars. Thats pretty much the rule...
