Third year is a charm! I've been surf fishing New Jersey the last few years without much success. I had been stock piling knowledge, and it's finally paying off! This trip Brother Max & Ryan joined me. I got up early & headed to the beach in hopes to figure out the pattern that was going to work. Lets just say I'm glad i did! Not only did I figure out the pattern, but I managed to catch 6 fish before they got there. I was able to put them on the fish for the afternoon bite. We all landed fish! Didn't see any monsters, but we had a ball catching these beautiful fall striped bass from the New Jersey Beach!

Nicely done Kurt. I’m dreaming about them still being around now in January but they’d be so sparse, the time you’d need to put in now wouldn’t be worth it. Better off getting out deeper and togging.
Awesome video. I learned some new tricks for reading the waves. I have to go out and buy the Wonder Bread SP Minnow for my fishing arsenal. The lure worked really good in the bright sunlight.

Dec 3 2005 wife and I caught 23 striper on the cape may beachfront 2 at 37" that we kept. All the rest were 28 to 34 ", all caught in about two hours

I miss the back in the day NJ limit, 1 fish 24”-28” and 1 over 28”! You ever swing on the beach when the bite dies down?

I haven't. Hard to do both. The second I would get the detector is the same second a blitz would break out. Haha

@@David_Saijen terrible ha ha. I tried beach in brick NJ. Was pretty dead today. I didn’t hit any other areas. So might be some stragglers. Heard still being caught off boats
