I'm finally starting my golf youtube channel and I'm using my iPhone 11 Pro Max on that same Manfrotto tripod with Moment lenses and the Rode VideoMicro. I also use my iPhone 13 Pro Max with a Movo wireless lavalier on a separate tripod. It's been fun recording the entire round. Have two rounds recorded, just need to get to editing!

I’m biased as I’ve been locked in with Deity for years. I mainly use my D4 Pro at home on my camera, D4 & V-lav when I’m out & about. Getting the Deity pocket wireless as an upgrade. Fun fact the D4 is an amazing just out of frame mic for streamers!!!

Great video! What kind of wireless mic would you recommend for a singer? I often have to record tapes while traveling and only have my iPhone with me.

It might be helpful to mention that if you pick up the Shure MV88 you will most likely have to remove the case from your iPhone to use it. It might not be a deal breaker for everyone but some cases are a MAJOR PAIN to take off.

You can order an extender from Amazon so it will work with your hard case.

@@Alzheimers_Mike That's true but keep in mind the leverage added by the extension. If you drop your phone or knock over the tripod the extension will increase the potential for damage to the iPhone lightning port.

@@karlcountry2363 agreed but some cases are easier to modify than others. I think modding the case is a better idea than lightning plug extenders.

Deity pocket wireless sounds like a good option. Are you using the audio from it during the segment showing it? Love the sound of USB mike the best. Do you recommend the lightening bolt to USB adapter with the option to charge the phone power or does it work well without it as shown in this video?

I like the look/sound of the Shure Mic, however does it work with an iPhone case on? Thankyou for this video!

The MV88 is fantastic, not only because of the app, but it’s enabled to make adjustments and changes to the pickup pattern. It sounds great too! I’ve used mine many times with my iphone and it’s never failed me. Still a great mic and worth the $$$.

@@iandustries it won’t happen this year except on the Pro Max. I have kept my XR so far for 4 years it still takes terrific pics. When I get the 14 pro I’d still keep it around the same amount of time. Also, I’m pretty sure a way to create an adapter will come along. I still have a good number of years to keep this mic around. Along with my DJI Wireless mic, which also provides a lighting connector with it.

Thank you. Very helpful. You 9:45 didn’t commit on which mic is best for interviewing one person crowds. Yesterday I did some interviews with people who are volunteering for a special event. I liked the idea of some background noise but my iPhone 12 mic didn’t give me any options for eliminating some of that noise. in iMovie, I could remove some of it, but it was still a little bit distracting. Which mic would be best for this purpose?

Listened to that comparison a few times and I think the MV88 sounds the best! It seems very convenient as well. Thanks for sharing! :)

My most used microphone for my KZread is a 7RYMS Minbo Mini, A “Shure” branded Mini Wireless Mic (VX-1) with a lavalier mic and A MIC-06 Mic. And I already have a future plan to get my final microphone in a row... Which it’s going to be a Røde.

What phone you are using?

When you use these mics with the iPhone, is the audio from the mic synched to the iPhone video? Or do you need to synchronize the audio and video after recording?

Omar, thank you again! I had a camera, it died, I am now using my iPhone 12 Pro Max (it's 4K and looks great) until I get my new camera when I resume filming after I move! However, this Deity V-Mic D4 is what I have been looking for! Also I wanted a cabled lav-mic too so bonus! However, What rig/clips did you use to connect yours to the boom mic stand? Since I am not very far (usually within 6 to 10 feet from my camera) I probably don't need a boom, but there are occasions in which it would have been handy. Thank you again- you're my guru!

If I were going to use a boom with the deity mini, what boom would you recommend?

What is the better setup for filming outdoors? Wanting to get good audio for myself while capturing other people near by. I film outdoors with my family. So I want viewers to be able to hear them as well. I was thinking the rode with two wireless .

I LOVE the video, and in it - you discuss off camera recording using another cell phone - and I am trying to save money to make cost effective video.... I had a TRRS microphone, but it had a very thin wire, I also had an extension cable - also very thin wire. I tripped over the wire and ripped the end off the extension, but thought the mic was OK - apparently, it is not, but I do have a short shotgun mic that works great, and we do want great audio! I have an old cellphone with an awesome audio recorder, and I can use it like a wireless handheld microphone, and synch it up in post... thanks for that idea - I love it! Another LIKE on your video!
