The 2011 gives you the best of both worlds, capacity of the poly framed striker fire pistol and the awesome trigger of a classic 1911 but now with the tac rail for a light and RMR cut, you really cannot go wrong with one of these 👍🇺🇸!
It's fun to watch you enjoy pistols like this on your channel. A poor like me could only imagine what a pistol like this does to amp up range day. I'm glad I have KZreadrs to live vicariously through.

Since I am also poor and not spending $2k plus on a pistol, I bought the tisas carry ds. It sells for $700 or less. It may not be as smooth or have all the fancy slide cuts, but it functions fine, and most of the 2011 upgrades fit.

I cant wait for the new ported and compensated version to come out next year.
Don't forget the magazines. While proprietary, they are more affordable and more reliable than 2011 magazines. Because "real" 2011 tubes change every year with every manufacturer. Meanwhile, BUL has better geometry and capacity. Imagine having a 20rnd 126mm magazine for your 2011 that locks back on an empty slide. Not gonna happen.

Just got mine last week, waited five months. the best pistol I’ve owned and I’ve owned a staccato. You can get 19 X extended mags for 25 bucks the problem with 2011s are The magazines are expensive and finicky the platypus fixed that they hit it out of the park.

Great review Mac. I know not many (new) guns excite you but this 1911/2011 seems to have.
Awesome pistols from Bul

I have 5 bul armory guns and absolutely love them all.
Can’t beat this setup for the price. When I see Atlas guys saying it’s right there with their Erebus, that interests me. I’m through 1,000 with the 2024 TAC Pro and it just runs and wants to run fast.
Nice '' Another great Video 💯 thanks for Sharing 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Great review! If I had the money I would definitely buy one!
The balance between tradition and innovation here seems promising
I'm getting their new 2024 alloy frame 4.25 EDC soon as possible.
Just this past weekend I shot a ported Staccato C2 and a Stealth Arms platypus gotta say 2011s shoot like a dream.Might have to shoot a Bul Armory and decide which I want to go with.
Thing I wasn't too enthused about 1911s besides spotty reliability was that lack of undercut but this maybe a game changer for me. I'll take Tim's word for it.
The SAS II Viper is my favorite pistol of all time
These pistols have been out for a few years and I have literally never seen one anywhere for sale
I’ve been saving for a 2011 & like the Bul. The only things I don’t like are not being able to find any locally & the lack of threaded barrels. I even contacted the company & they didn’t seem too interested in making the barrels. Without that, I’m still looking at Staccato, the various “Turkatos” & even the SA Sig 226. We’ll see I guess. Nice video & nice review, Tim!!

It depends what you want it for I think. The 226 is a great duty gun, but I prefer shooting a well tuned 2011, both have good off the shelf quality. I only have about 5k rounds though the Sig though, over about 10 years. When I was a sweat I used to put that through other guns in a month.
You said that you were going to disassemble the pistol and you never did it

Paid $1890 for my SAS II TAC 5" in August 23. Only came with 2 mags though. Can't remeber what I paid for extra mags. They only had the mags with the brass base plates available at the time. Deffinetly a nice shooter. I wait to shoot it last when I hit the range, otherwise frustration sets in with other handguns.
Very nice pistol....But thought you were going to take it apart .....Thanks Mac..... Old F-4 II Pilot Shoe🇺🇸

Handle one at Guncon 2024 and racking the slide was so smooth! Having said that I wonder if 2011s give you anything over an Sig P226 Legion SAO?
I bought my first 2011 from Tisas, their Night Stalker
I never realized how massive your hands were until I saw you holding that Staccato P! Jesus, it looked like a P365 in your hand (or at least a C2) yet it’s a big pistol! 😂😂😂😂
I'd be interested to hear MAC's take on the Bul Amory Axe series of pistols. Basically they are Gucci'd put Glock 17 or 19's for similar prices to regular stock Glocks. I would be interested in seeing how you think it stacks up against a regular Glock and then the more expensive Gucci Glocks like Shadow Systems or Zev. I'm not really a Glock fan, but the Bul Armory Axe series has me very very tempted.
Please review the stealth arms platypus.

@@abelbeltran6839 i had a CZ P-07. i sold it. the grip had not enough bite, the trigger was definitely not comparable to a single-action 1911/2011 pistol, it didnt have an optic cut. i now have an Springfield Armory Operator. While yes, it doesnt have an optic cut, it definitely was more comfortable to hold/shoot and the trigger is excellent. the Bul Armory SASII Tac 4.25" 2024 is my next pistol and the Springfield Operator will someday be replaced by the current Springfield TRP. i will agree, that the CZ P-07 is an excellent gun for the money. it was just not the gun that i wanted to keep. i did however ordered an CZ P-10 SC OR SR before the Springfield Operator. Unfortunately after 1 year of waiting, it never arrived. so i canceled to order.

Unless something has changed the Bul double stacks use the para pattern mags, it’s what rock island also uses.

@Militaryarmschannel maybe put the bul armory tac and rock island tac 9mm double stack through the gauntlet tests.
I've had my name in the hat for their UL model for about a year and so far nothing but crickets. Perhaps they are a victim of their own success and are happy with their level of service/productivity and aren't focused on the western market. I think it's a mistake on their part, but not my company.
I am and have been a 1911 fan since 1967. Never was a fan of 9mm. I like this pistol.
Be cool if you could actually buy 1. Waiting for the new Bul edc to be available
The RIA 10mm , double stack is king.
Can you do a review on the AXE line from them?
Hey MAC, have you ever thought about subjecting a 2011 to the gauntlet? I’m curious about how they would fare.
I hope you’ll try the Tisas double stacks soon for sub 1k it has all forged components, no mim, they use stacatto pattern mags and they are the best of the sub 1k 2011’s, I’d take a Tisas over a prodigy.
I’d love to buy one but I can never find one it seems only YT content creators have them.
The Bul Armory /magnum research single stack 1911’s are hands down the best 1911’s for the $1k price point.
You need to review a nighthawk version
45 ACP again? Yes.
I believe with 2011th it's not about gun, the price is turning point for most folks)
Bull makes great guns only had one. Have you shoot the platypus yet? I like it and want to shoot one because of the Glock mags it takes! As I already have plenty of the mags. And the customizing you can do an ordering .
If they used Staccato mags and had a DLC finish, I’d be all over it. I hate cerekote finish because it scratches so easily and proprietary mags - even if they are cheaper and hold more - annoy me as I can’t share between guns. I love the looks of the predecessor a lot better, but like the features of this one. The previous shot great so I don’t doubt this one is great too - I just wish it was wasn’t catching up to Staccato in price and Atlas on availability
For $2250, it should come with a friggin’ holster! And it seems spending this kind of money for a firearm will become or has become the norm. Sadly, even if I could afford it, I can’t even own it in Illinois. That said, no way would I spend that much for a carry gun and risk not getting it back or not getting it back for potentially a year or years and or it not being in the condition it once was.
I was not satisfied with the Bul Armory Cleaver that I bought. The ejection pattern was unacceptable. However, the difference in price between the Cleaver and Bul's 2011s is >$1500. I imagine their QC scales accordingly. MAC said it (sort of). The reason 2011s are so expensive is because 1911 shooters want the same manual of arms in an updated 9mm platform. And many younger shooters see 2011s and just assume theyre the best option. Until these sentiments change, the prices will remain the same. If you want a cheaper 9mm SAO carry option, look into a Beretta 92XI or P226 SAO
Hey MAC can we get a comparison between the Bul Armory TAC and the Rock Island TAC 9 double stack?

Bul armory seems interesting to me. My only issue with it is it’s not American. And while I don’t have a problem with imported guns generally for a 1911 I feel like it’s blasphemy to get it foreign. So I’m petty much just considering American companies. The live free armory apallo 11 is kind of at the top of that list right now followed by the platypus and Springfield protege.
I had a new all steel Staccato P and I found it to be highly overpriced and overrated. Bul produces great stuff.
