We are having such a great time trying all of this food and eating our way around Montreal lol. L'Express really is amazing! Mike loves risotto and said that it was perfect :)

Wow - this is a terrific video! I used to live in upstate NY and took the train to Montreal a number of times. What nice memories of that fantastic city. You are so fortunate to get to enjoy it and the delicious food!

Le Plateau is such a great neighbourhood, so vibrant and walkable. We walk through the streets everyday and absolutely love it.

Fun fact, the ruelles vertes are not actually city initiatives. In order to get one, you have to comply with a municipal bylaw that states that if enough people from a particular location band together and ask the city for the authorization to create a ruelle verte, and then produce a credible plan that they will indeed follow through and maintain it, the city will then fork over money make it happen. It other words, they are first and foremost citizens' based initiatives.

Excellent video. L'Express is one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. I will try the veggie burger at Darling - looked very tasty:)

Montreal and Quebec City are such beautiful places to visit! It's a good thing we walk everywhere or we would be gaining 3 lbs a day. It was tasty though :)

Those poutines were huge, and I'm sure we gained 5 pounds eating what we did. Beer definitely goes with poutine, and their beer goes with it so well!

I love santropol I used to go there when I was an animation artist at Ubisoft which is just down at Laurent and st urbain

The patio at Santropol is so nice on a hot summer day! The sandwiches are huge and the carrot cake is really tasty. We used to walk past Ubisoft quite often. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it :)

JUST ONE BIT OF ADVICE FROM A MONTREAL (AN ENGLISH ONE) POUTINE IS PRONOUNCED (POUTIN) NOT POUTEEEEEN. BY THE WAY PLEASE COME TO VERDUN/LASALLE AS WELLINGTON STREET IS BLOCKED OFF TO ALL TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS CAN WALK FREELY WITH SO MANY GREAT SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS AT HAND. NOT ONLY THIS BUT OUR BOARDWALK GOES FOR MILES RIGHT ON THE ST. LAWRENCE ALL THE WAY TO THE WEST ISLAND!!

Sorry about the pronunciation, we're just a couple of Anglos who speak French badly lol! Thanks for the recommendation for Verdun/LaSalle...we'll put that on our list for the next visit.
