Why the ancient shield is really the best for surfing: Each sheild has a certain friction value that is applied to each shield surf that changes how smoothly or rough of the surf on a surface. Most sheilds have a value of 1.0 while shields like the radiant shield and sheild of the minds eye have friction values of 0.3. The Ancient Sheild has the value of 0.1, making it the best sheild for sheildsurfing. Another thing with boating. If you press X to jump while in your swing, you can cancel the whole swing animation making it much more efficient.

but if its going too fast the raft might blow away and your still in the air

I didn't know that the island shirt can give you more speed on a raft that's kinda cool, also to get even more speed on a raft you can use a chest or anything you can magnesis and push it up against the mast for a lot of speed its kinda hard to get it to stay on the mast so i suggest using a chest over say a metal weapon but once you get the sweet spot you can go all across the world with it

On the raft you can use a treasure chest with magnesis to go really fast on the water. Grab a chest and hold it with Magnesis then hold the treasure chest behind the mast (middle curtain pole that pushes with wind) then with the D-pad push up against the pole in the direction you want to go. It takes some balancing but boosts the raft super fast.

2:11 the shield with the least friction is the radiant shield, but the ancient sheild is in second place for that, and uses durability the slowest of all shields when shield surfing.

The best shield for shield surfing is the radiant Shield. Just use durability dupe the Julian shields durability (800!) onto it.

3:16 Actually that's not the fastest way to sail a boat. If you do the second swing, you can cancel it by switching your shield (and I think any other weapon). You get the speed of the swing but you don't get the long animation. Otherwise good video!

To get the farthest with your shield double jump, do not hold ZL, just sprint and jump at the edge of the spot you want to jump over, when press ZL, and A. This will give you more momentum since you were sprinting, and will allow you to go even further.

The way i got fastest speed on the raft was that i would spam Y then switch weapons and then go back to the leaf then hit Y twice then repeat. Also useful with elemental weapons

That is 1 of 2 places to get a horse that makes the white steed look and feel slow . It's a 2-5-3 build and it is definitely worth the somewhat long, lynel strewed haul to register it . It might be prudent to kill the 2 in your way prior to getting it . An unregistered horse is gone if it dies .

You can easily just ride right past those two lynels. They won't do anything to you. In my experience, lynels will only attack if you're in their presence for too long or if you attack first, and I've put thousands of hours into this game. So if you're just riding by, you're not close to it long enough to provoke it

4:30 the horse you pinned is not the best horse since its spotted, that means its gentle and has about 2 or 3 bars of stamina the 5 stamina horse is the totaly brown one. Just test the things you say by youre self and dont lie when you dont know what are you talking about.
