But if the artist who is 5/10 has 5 pantheon level classics and the artist that is 5/5 just has 5 “good” albums, give me the 5/10 artist easily. Bad albums dont matter as much to me because I simply dont really listen to them. They are just missed opportunities to add to your legacy. But if one artist is 3/10 and another is 1/1, the artist that is 3/10 has produced more of value to the world. Kanye can drop 100 bad albums in a row right now, and it will never diminish the greatness he already achieved. It’s like how Jordans time with the wizards doesnt negatively impact the run with the bulls.

I will put a disclaimer I've never listened to Guilty Simpson, but the fact that Common was getting dismissed like that is crazy to me lmao

Yeah, but Kanye's highs are very high. To me, Kanye is a far bigger risk taker and because of that there is always a lot of division amongst his fanbase as to what albums of his are best. In my opinion, he only has two misses and that is Vultures 1 and Jesus is King. If people disagree with that take, I wouldn't argue with them. That's just how Kanye's discography is. With a guy who constantly reinvents his sound and switches shit up, there's bound to be different definitions for what is a miss and hit amongst his fanbase.

I think to make the final bracket that much better you should consider this format, and like if you agree so they can see this! You all pick 4 members of the “least deserving” of the top 8 from each coast/bracket and put them in a wild card category. Then you all agree on one rapper from each coast/bracket that should be an honourable mention cause so big names were left off all the brackets. You take those 4 and put each of them up against the “least deserving” of each bracket/coast. You’ll then have 4 winners from each coast/bracket that can easily slot in where the originally placed rapper was. Some of the issues with all the brackets is that there were big names defeated early on just because they went up against heavy favourites in the 1st or 2nd round. Not perfect but will make the final bracket all the more competitive and entertaining! Thoughts from a big fan since day 1!
