Yes iv tried it I used germany servers it's really laggy using a vpn but if you dont wana wait when j pl lay at like 1 or 2pm there onley like 5 10 min of waiting

What you have to do is go to add friend and then click to search someone and it should flip to landscape mode. It works for me.
