Watch BOAT channel if 3000 does use so much wattage then how do u expect the performance to come even close if using maxq or 115mp watt in a small form factor laptop mea while 3080 can take up to 400 watt power

Ah yes, 25% fan speed at 40C, 70% at 47C, 85% at 90C, 33% at 42C, 29% at 89C, 55% at 65C, 92% at 63C, 51% at 55C, 2% at 67C, 90% at 70C, 15% at 85C, 15% at 52C, 63% at 97C, and finally, 70% fan speed at 55C

You should put subtitles when ur doing the "Fan on + mic test + webcam" to emphasize that u wouldnt hear much with fan on and itll be clearer for people hard of hearing since turning the volume up on the video doesnt do much since fan loudness still overwhelm ur voice

Hey Jarrod, just a heads up about your comment regarding manufacturers typically letting you replace a laptop due to a dead pixel--I believe that is not the case. In my experience, if you do not have more than 2 dead/stuck pixels--this falls under 'Display Monitor Best Practices', and doesn't warrant a replacement, at least in the United States.

i think that repasting and modding the bios to undervolt it can stop the thermal throtteling and imporve cpu performance a lot

I think a bit less spring force would have been perfect. 55 g is like most blue switches and 45 g is like most brown switches. The lighter press is one of the biggest benefits of going mechanical. The advantage of the long 1.5 mm actuation distance is being able to have low resistance and still prevent accidentally pressing keys, and the 2.5 travel distance is great for not bottoming out and overall comfort. In my experience laptop the better rubber domes tend to have too little travel distance as well as too much actuation force.

Not sure if I should bite on the 6 core i7 with 2060 for 1,150. Like the SD slot and fingerprint reader. Like to get a i7 2060 Helios at 1,200 for that 2.5 SATA bay because I use a lot of data in and out so a spinner will keep the wear down on my SSDs.

Incoming a new era of excellent laptops.

I nearly bought a customized version of this laptop from xoticpc. I opted for the msi GE66 from best buy instead. I saved myself about 1k. It has the rtx 2070 super max p which is quite beast for the games I play. Maybe next year when the rtx 3000 series or big navi comes to laptops with a ryzen cpu combo I would sell the ge66 and consider the gigabyte again for it is beautiful and does have a mech keyboard. Maybe the next gen gpus would reduce the laptop prices next gen along with cooler running specs considering the new hardware.

I’d prefer the option of letting the CPU reach 99 C and higher clocks rather than hitting an artificial limit. This looks to be a nice mechanical keyboard laptop!

Specs are really great, but I would prefer a more balanced laptop, with more portability. At 2.2+kg, it’s good for a gaming laptop, but I would love a laptop which is a little lighter. I’ve never liked the camera placement on Auros laptops and the cost is too much for my liking, despite the power it delivers

@Shreshta Jaiswal I highly doubt these upcoming cards will do well on laptops... at least until there is a refresh. Look at how atrocious the RTX 20 mobile cards were on launch. In some cases, it was better to get an actual 1660Ti until the refreshes arrived. Also, laptops are still overwhelmingly at 1080p so these cards won't be outdated as quickly. Unlike desktops which will need that 4K performance.
