I’ve been looking for input on brushes so this was perfect. Your makeup looks so natural and pretty!

I recently started using the BK Beauty brushes, and they are FANTASTIC!!! My makeup (when I actually bother to put some on these days) goes on so light and flawless. I swear these brushes have taken 10 years off my face!!

I have the entire BK beauty brush line and most of the Sigma (and way too many others!) My favorite brush is the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Lux Ball Wand brush for powder, perfection!

Love this video. It’s very helpful and informative. Thanks so much for detailing each brush and its purpose...you’re the best at doing this. 🥰 I love Lisa’s brushes... they’re so soft and hold up very well and keep their shape after cleaning. Also love my iT dual ended brush as well as Sigma, Elf and Real Technique brushes that are great too. I also own the same 3-section brush container that you have 😘

Thanks for the video. Great that you gave higher end and affordable options. That ELF concealer brush is great and CHEAP! I also use it to clean up polish around my cuticles. It’s very versatile.

I am using the BHcosmetics deluxe marble set OMG I love it when I purchased it it was 31.00 comes with a bunch of brushes and my favorite is the gorgeous giant powder brush. If you are on a budget I recommend this brand highly

Yay Stephanie your brush video!

I use a combination of Artis brushes (a splurge I know but so, so worth it), MAC brushes, Sephora Pro brushes, and Beauty Blenders. The shapes and quality of all of those just work for me. I don’t do eyeshadow though, really, so these are all for face. Great video! 👍🏾

Yes, that’s a good one. I mix it with water for a spray-on cleaner and in a foaming pump.

I really like the Rephr brushes that I got from the concept store so I’ve ordered the core collection-waiting for it. I really love my Scott Barnes Flawless Face brush makes applying and blending contour easy. The highlighter brush is, ok. I use the real techniques brush for my bronzer and a second one as an all over face power brush (for light powdering). I got the BK round foundation, The contoured one was sold out. I like it for foundation. I use my elf ultimate blend for cream and liquid blushes.

Besides the Sigma brushes (I have your set), I love Blinged Brushes. They are from a woman owned company. And I like Moda Pro and Omnia brushes for lower end brushes as well as Juno & Co

The black E.l.f series of brushes work wonders on a budget, but I've fallen completely in love with All zoeva, the brushes are great, and the makeup is great too😍 I love real techniques some of the limited are faves of mine. Hi Stephanie - Wonderful video. You did a great job. Could you please advise a brush that will fit in the jar, yet works perfectly to put on the Cle De Peau blush? I hate putting my fingers in the jar, yet I can’t find a brush to fit in the jar. Also, how do you store the double ending brushes? I use a cup and don’t want the brushes damaged. Thank you!

Love my BKBEAUTY Brushes, they really do take your makeup to the next level, I’ve never owned such Luxurious brushes before, always just from the drugstore or chemist is what we call them here in Australia 🇦🇺, I won’t use anything else now to apply my makeup 💄😍😍😍😍

Hi Stephanie! How often do you wash your brushes?

I want the BK Beauty set.

I ordered the shop miss A pink eyeshadows on a whim. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? They’re GOOD! And that’s bc I own sigma brushes. I have suggested to friends to buy those if they’re starting they’re brush collection. That’s way you have good brushes to practice with. And they don’t shes. I’m wanna get they’re mink face brush set now!

I got 2 of the Sonia g. Brushes (gifts) I absolutely love them. They are so soft. These mature eyes wow just wow. Also I have Lisa 2BK brushes love them and Sigma. Also I love the smaller iconic ? I think set from boxy Charm ?? I have hooded and smaller eyes. I like a smaller brush. Going to get some from Wayne I think. Thanks again. Another great video.

Favourites are the IT #7 Complexion Perfection dual ended brush which is my favourite for liquid or powder foundation and concealer. The Real Techniques Setting brush is amazing under my eyes and powdering odd corners and the RT blush brush that you showed is my favourite powder brush for setting & finishing. IT #4 French Boutique Blush brush is my favourite blush and I have a second one very similar from a Beauty Professional set from Costco that does bronzer. (That set had a fantastic eye brush like the IT #216 all over shadow but it’s smaller) I wish Costco would carry that set again. For eyes I have 2 of the new Sephora Match brushes; crease & shadow. Real Techniques Medium Shadow brush and a Clinique Eye Definer brush that is a fine angled liner brush. That Beauty Professional one from the Costco set above is my favourite of all the overall eye shadow brushes. I have others but reach for these all the time. If anyone is on a budget similar to mine those Sephora Match Collection Brushes are really worth looking at.

Hi Stephanie This was a great video! Thank you! I’m loving the BKBeauty brushes. I have the precision set and just got the eye set. My favorite is the 208 small angle brush. I have small eyes and it’s been perfect for eye liner. I typically don’t use eyeliner on the bottom but I find with this brush I can get the perfect fine line if I feel like doing a more glam look. I also use the creaseless concealer brush from Real techniques for blending out cream eye shadow. I think I learned that from Shelby Wilson.

I wonder if you grated bar soap, melted the shavings and poured it into the Sigmagic scrub, to refill it? You could try that with Savon de marseille soap that many beauty guru’s recommend to wash brushes with. Thanks for the video.

I bought Sonia G Face One and BK beauty blush brush on your recommendation and they are fantastic! I'd love to share my holy grail brushes with you. For foundation, I looooove Kevin Aucoin foundation brush (it is unbelievably good!) and for eye makeup, I swear by Hakuhodo s146 (OMG!), g5522, j242 and Chikuhodo t8. Try them! I think you'd like them too!

Very comprehensive:) Now that we are spending a lot of time wearing face masks I would like to highlight my eyes more and begin wearing eye make-up. I am novice. I just ordered my very first eyeshadow palette and I am in my 40s! Your eyeshadow brush tutorial was a little overwhelming for me. I don’t know where to begin. Are there 2 or 3 essential eyeshadow brushes I should start with? Your help is appreciated. Do you also have a eyeshadow tutorial for beginners?

How funny that we both use the Real Techniques blusher blush for bronzer. I love that. Also a big fan of the RT powder brush. I've recently invested in the Rephr Core Collection so excited for that to arrive. It will be mu first taste of natural hair brushes compared to synthetic. I wash my synthetic brushes every two weeks - can you advise how often I should clean natural hair brushes? I have quite alot of brushes. I like to have options, but those BK Beauty brushes are really calling my name. I got their email about the Mother's Day sale the day after I ordered from Rephr. If it had been before I'd have ordered the BK Beauty ones instead. As well as wanting to upgrade my brushes I also want some pretty holders for them to keep them on display, but struggling with that at the moment.

Brushes make such a huge difference in my makeup application. I have splurged on Wayne Goss and Sonia G and I think they are worth every penny. But I do have ones that I really like from Real Techniques, bdellium, and elf as well. I also use the dr bronner's liquid soap and it works great for me.

10:46 Note: you said Sigma but you meant to say Sephora Pro for the concealer brush The Rephr brushes are top notch and natural hair The BK Beauty brushes are next on my list to try. They look amazing!!! The Omnia Gold line by Royal & Langnickel are stand outs as well and not expensive I haven’t tried a Wayne Goss brush that I didn’t like yet whether it be face or eye brush but I’m partial to his eye brushes personally Sonia G is just superb Sephora Pro are fabulous brushes but they are a bit pricey. I stoked up when they were redoing the line around the holidays and got some favorites then. Juno & Co has really impressed me recently with their brushes and they have a dupe for the angled 125 Fenty brush you showed. (16:22) They also have the same dusty rose aesthetic as Fenty. I can’t put those brushes down! Real Techniques & Eco Tools are some of the very best at the drugstore that hold up and are soft. Just wondering what your thoughts are on other Sephora brushes? I know you mentioned some in your video. They have a set that seems affordable that gives you almost everything you need. Is it worth it? Or just better to buy only a few of the higher end brushes?

I’ve bought Sephora brushes, not very impressed. There are def cheaper & higher end brushes that perform better. I personally don’t like pre-made sets, I’d rather buy what I need, even if it’s high end.

I have saved this video so I can purchase a little at a time. Just purchased one of Wayne Goss blush brush that you recommended. I see in the reviews that the brush is made of blue squirrel and should only go on skin that has been set, because the oils from our face will start to break the squirrel hairs causing shedding. Do you know if this is true?

Hi Kathleen. I have hooded eyes too and Sigmas E40 or E45 is a good one for hooded eyes if you are looking at their brushes. I prefer Zoevas 225 or 231. Any brand you want to go for really is fine though, but for hooded eyes, look to see if they have smaller doomed or tapered crease or crease detail type brushes. Elf do a great budget friendly one that i love and real techniques shadow base and blend duo is another great set. I use the blending brush only in that set for my eyes, but love the base brush for applying my highlighter 🙂

For me I am being rather choosy as to where my cosmetics and tools are made these days. I’ve always preferred product made in the USA (Italy, Germany ok and nothing like Korean skincare). I worked in the cosmetic industry for 32 years and product made in China you do not want near your face. In the case of brushes I prefer brands made either here or in Japan. Please come home brush brands we love. 👍😁.

Do you like that one or the sigma switch? I didn’t even know these existed and I’m going to buy one. (I was looking at all your old videos where you mentioned anything It Cosmetics trying to find where you had used those shadow sticks because of course isn’t every woman watching videos in her bed while she waits for it to be 1:00 AM so she can buy from Ulta LOL. My husband would think I’m insane. I’ve spent all week making sure I got home first so he wouldn’t see all the Ulta packages coming)

If you were only able to buy three brush sets which brush brand would you get? And which of the 3 sets would make up your full brush set and which brushes from what brand? I’m not a big full brush set person. But if I had to pick and not go luxury, I’d go with BK Beauty or Sigma. If luxury, I love me some Sonia G.
