Appreciate the video, my man! The MF+AF mode is a big help. I think I'll need that for times when I'm focused on a foreground and the background is so out of focus that af won't pick it up when I focus away from the foreground. Thanks!

Interesting! Our quick menu settings are pretty much the same, as are the wheel shortcuts. However, I added the light meter on the front button and added the base ISO setting (Low & High) on the +/- button.

Good video. I shot a feature film with the GH5. I used the Ronin S gimbal in that shoot, and I turned on the IBIS while shooting with the Ronin S. The IBIS actually smoothed out the Ronin S footage even more. It did not "fight with" the gimbal. In tests, I tried with and without IBIS and in each case the IBIS improved the shot. The Ronin S is quite easy to balance.

Nice! The GH5 was the first camera that intrigued me with lumix. Then the S1 sold me. Then I bought an S1H. I still need to do tests myself. I've shot with it on before on accident and didn't really notice. I heard Matt at Panasonic say you shouldn't have it on but maybe it is only at the wider focal lengths where it matters more

I do know about that but doesn't it lock other settings as well? Or can you set it to only lock shutter?

@@DustinArmstrongPro You can change what remains unlocked, although it looks like it's limited. My S5 shows Cursor, Joystick, Touch Screen, Dial, DISP Button. Bug Panasonic to let us have more control over what we can lock and unlock 😅

Haha don't worry they are definitely aware of this one. But I keep poking because I think it's a great option to have!

You can remove picture profiles you dont use from the Q menu. I only leave natural, portrait and V-log. I also have v-log mapped to the front button beside the lens. I separate photo and video settings in the menu. Vlog screws up raw files. I have down (audio adjust), up (set custom wb by taking a photo), left (full, apsc, pixel toggle), right (resolution & frame rate select).

Yes you can. You can remap almost everything besides some of those quirky things

Hello! I have a Lumix S5 II - it produces sound in Vegas - as many as 4 tracks - 2 mono and 2 silent. How to make one and stereo? Thank you

I'd love to win that 50mm! Aside from that. Do you think panasonic will give us the same features that the S5iiX has via firmware updates? Like a paid update? or is the processor and sensor different on the X for just $200 more... which is annoying to have to buy a whole-nother camera and sell the reg.

The settings will be basically identical on the S5IIX if you're talking about my custom settings, I have a download for the S5IIX and S5II

You can add four extra custom buttons for the left right up and down of the joystick, but at the cost of losing the joystick focus point functionality.

Is there any difference between shutter halfway pression and AfOn ?? Focus seems more precise on AfOn imo…🤔

Hey dustin, a I am using 180°, angle setting, but sometimes light is way more than zebras, so so to adjust the exposure I have to increase the F values and if not F values then I have to decrease the shutter angle so that I could lower the exposure could you please give me a way around so that I do not have to reduce the shutter angle or increase the F values. How can I do that.

The X is basically the same as the S1H just no OLPF. This one doesn't have all intra, ProRes, and internal recording

there are all 4:2:0 10 bits ? in the s5 II ??

There's 4:2:2 10 bit as well. I only use 4:2:2 if I'm shooting on a green screen

I can't get the file to load on my S5II. Could being on the latest firmware be stopping it?

It looks like maybe the latest firmware update may not work with this settings file? Camera says "No camera settings file" but the daset.dat file is definitely loaded onto my card.

anyone else having trouble loading the .dat file, in trhe camera? I can tell the file is on my card, because it shows up in the camera through file finder. However, when I try to load, it says "no camera settings file."

try adding a folder on your sd card named "AD_LUMIX" then put the file in there and see if that fixes it

It should just read it on the top of your SD card.

I believe it may have to be on an SD card. You can also try adding a folder called AD_LUMIX and put it in there. That may do it
