*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that our of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...

*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

Thank you for watching, liking, commenting, and subscribing! Next up is the review of the Pulsar Thermion 2 XQ35 Pro... Hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving next week!
What is it about this scope mount not working on an AR platform rifle? Is this scope different enough from a Rico MK1-384? My MK1-384 is on the factory mount on an AR and I don't think anything is wrong with it. Just curious as to what I may be missing with the American Defense mount. Thanks!!
Haven't bought an iray product yet, but getting close. I like what I am hearing about how well Iray line does in the field. I have an IR Defense MKII , and an ATN Thor 640 in use, both work well, with image on the IR/Trij significantly better. I don't have any reservations on the Rico or Bolt minimum 3x power. I really like the Bolt 640. After shooting hundreds of hogs, I know my first shot on a sounder is usually 50-75 yards, second shot-60-85, and third shot on full speed running targets at 90-100. The distances are just thrown out there, not necessarily every time,, but you get my point. Sometimes even farther if they decide to stop or slow down through a fence line. I don't like when stalking up close and being on 1-2x with my IR/Trijicon and then have to manually zoom the scope power while action is taking place, and same with the ATN. Maybe better to start out with a slightly higher base power-this may be more of a challenge when glassing for hours because of field of view because of more movement; or the challenge of a close range run and gun in can am (but that's why I have a laser attached). Thoughts or experiences on those close shots under 50yds with the Rico? Just trying to make the best choice here........

Hey Pecos Bill... I appreciate you watching. If you interested in purchasing on of these optics, give us a call at 877-350-1818
Does the picture-in-picture not show up on video? What distance is the lrf accurate to. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this or a pulsar, just talked to your people today this is one of the questions I didn't realize I needed to ask. Thanks
How far is the lrf consistent? I'm guessing 350 yds similar to the Rico. Thanks
Greetings Hans! Have a great weekend. 💥💥💥🐗🐗🐗

Thank you! You as well
Would it survive a scar 17 or 20?
How does the Gl35 compare to the Super Hogster? Similar specs and price between the non rangefinder model and the SH. Trying to decide between the two. Really like the battery setup on the GL35, just wondering how they compared just looking through the scope.

picture image is very very similar
Sounds great, but can you tell me how it ranks up against the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro in your opinion - which I am already thinking of purchasing..?
@HansETX
Жыл бұрын
The Helion is a 640 resolution monocular whereas the Rico GL35R is a 384 rifle scope. The hellion is just for scanning, the rico is for shooting with. The hellion has higher resolution and naturally better picture image but it's not a very fair comparison. Thanks for watching

@@HansETX Totally makes sense, thanks so much for clarifying..!! I'm still on a big learning curve for thermal devices.

Is this made in the USA, not assembled but actually made here?
Hi, does the thermal have ballistics data entry so the reticle can auto adjust for the distance the target is at?

it does not... thanks for watching!
Which thermal with LRF has the coldest temperature rating?
@lucass4758
Жыл бұрын
I can’t answer your question specifically, but I’ve used my Rico Mk1 with the attachable LRF at -37°F actual air temperature before windchill, and everything worked just fine.
@HansETX

Could not find a temperature rating on the N-Vision XRF, but the iRay, Pulsar, and AGM LRF thermals are all rated down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit
Why is there a Rico GL35R and a Geni 35R? Are they different in any way?
@HansETX

The only difference is the R has a laser ranger finder
Lrf distance will show running through infiray app then you can screen record yr phone or tablet

Thanks for watching Robin!
If you compare two thermals, both at 380 or both at 640, but one is 17micron and one is 12micron how much do you notice the improved micron size? Is the 12micron sensor more noticeable in a 640 than it is in a 380? By the math 12micron is 30% better than 17 micron. Does it work out that way in practice?
@HansETX
Жыл бұрын
Honestly, there are many other factors involved, quality of the components, quality of the germanium lens, display, etc…. So to answer your question, it really just depends on the optic and the brand. There are 640-17 micron optics that out perform 640-12 optics on the market right now.

12m thermals look great when the weather is good and no humidity but if there’s any humidity then the 17m will look better for sure.
Pulsar duo? You seen one yet in person?

Thanks for watching Robin!
I did not watch the entire video I admit. you lost me when you indicated that I have to buy another AD mount. But I would ask if this thermal can be used during the day as a regular scope, then turn on the thermal at night? or do I have to have my LPVO in my case with my over priced AD mount that I have on that!?😂 thanks for reminding us that we have to buy another mount. that should have come with both mounts and just put the price into the package.

This optic now comes with a qd picatinny mount 👍🏻 outdoorlegacygear.com/products/iray-rico-g-lrf-384-35mm-laser-rangefinding-thermal-weapon-sight?_pos=1&_sid=9992ff474&_ss=r
I'd rather see for myself how good it is at less than 100yds.
