Best LED Shop Light! Hyperlite HERO High Bay 100 Watt
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I desperately needed some light in the new addition, so I did some research and chose 6 new Hyperlite High Bay lights, in 5000k color. These are the Hero 100-watt models. Easy install, with plenty of light. This company did not support me in any way, as I purchased these with my own money.

I am also replacing several 4' T12 fluorescent lights in my 2-bay shop, any suggestions on new LED 4' lights would be greatly appreciated!

Great video, Mark. Very informative. You say they are very bright now, but wait until you get my age they won’t be bright enough lol. I done the same as you and upgraded to LED’s a while back and thought the same thing, man these are too bright now that I’m older and my eight sight is worse they don’t seem too bright. My son got those lights like yours and he is very satisfied with them.

Thanks! These lights definitely made a big improvement in this space. I'm sure someday when I'm older I will be upgrading again, but for now it's awesome!
Nice job....I use 5 , 200 watt lights in a 9m wide x 15m L x 6m H workshop in Australia. They definitely are awesome at lighting the place up.

Thanks. Nice size shop!
I have a 30 x 50 metal shop and I put 8 of the Hyperlite 100 watt lights in 4 on each side. I did put the difusers on as they are bright to look at.

Would you think the diffusers are worth the money? I have been considering purchasing

They sure are!
LEDs don't have inrush current like you said. A/C motors can depending on the type. You can always put a meter on the hot wire to measure current draw.

Interesting...good to know. I'll have to experiment with that
How are they holding up? Just getting started on my garage build and thinking about lighting.

So far, so good. There are no issues yet.

Not sure...I just never bothered spending the extra money. I used 2 circuits instead.
Can you link those through the power cord ?

You can only run 1 light through the attached power cord. I ran outlets in the ceiling for each light.
Noticed your hanging hook and safety hook are in the same board... Would it make sense to put the hook for the safety hook into a different board.
How hard would it be to add a dimmer?

Basically the wiring pigtail has to be controlled by the dimmer, the purple and grey wires. You can't run a traditional dimmer switch to power the light, according to this article.
After 2 years of use are you having any light failures ?

Not yet. Use them daily 8+ hrs. They have held up great.
