I discovered the Market Street Café and the oxtail soup maybe 8 or 10 years ago. I make sure to stop by there for it every time I'm in town... Sometimes more than once! I'm very Caucasian, BTW... one of the reasons I first tried it was that my German mother used to make oxtail soup when I was a kid, and there definitely are similarities. I'm sure Mom's was a lot less spicy, but I love spicy food anyway, so it's all good!

Jay, I will say that I’m very Americanized when it comes to food that’s not homemade but this OXTAIL SOUP WAS AMAZING!! I ordered a club sandwich and barely touched it and I love fries and sandwiches!

A Definite MUST!

Every time I go Las Vegas I always stay at the cal and a lot of people from Hawaii call Las Vegas the ninth island.

Da Cal is the OG place for Hawaiian locals to visit. I first started going to the Cal back in the early 80s. Oxtail soup is ono.. Market Street Cafe used to have a awesome daily brunch with all the Hawaiian food including Portuguese Sausage 😋 Really good content 🤙🏿

Does Aloha Specialties also serve Oxtail Soup? I want to try that and Loco Moco when I’m downtown in a couple weeks but not sure I will be able to try both restaurants with all the other places to try on my list! If you had to pick one which would it be?

@@mattbrown193 Oxtail not served at Aloha Specialties. That said, if you have to pick one place... Loco Moco from Aloha Specialties. Go early, we've seen them close around 6:30pm even though sign days 7pm.

We haven’t been to Market Street Cafe. We never make it to grab late night eats when in Vegas. We are always so tired and the time change throws us off. We need to try it though! -S

Been rating here for 25 years and watch the prices keep going up ,used to be 5.99 now 14.99 and no more all u can eat salad bar and no more midnight specials. Validation $20 of food
