A Sunday morning my (then) GF called me from her college dorm. Their drier had crapped out and nobody could be in to fix it for 3-4 days. I like ‘em dirty, but not that kind. Got there and all I had was my Maratac AAA and a PS4. Took the back off the dryer, removed the heating element (hopelessly caked with charred fuzz, scorched scrunchies, and enough used dryer sheets to make a proper sail boat sail. Took me 90 minutes with only those tools and I was a god among men that day. Never let anyone undersell you the efficiency and capability of a Leatherman PS4.

To completely incompetent women he was indeed a hero that day. He saved them a huge laundry load of trouble and they knew it. Try talking to girls sometime.
I've always like the Opinel knives. My grandpa had one I remember as a kid, it was strangely hooked and folded up so that the back of the blade stuck up kind of high. It was ALWAYS in his pocket and razor sharp. He cut everything from twine to "good money" twist tobacco with it. Nice to see the brand featured here.
The pocket clip on the second knife he shows is kinda genius, it gives you the ability to suspend your keys/other stuff connected to the keys mid pocket, and thus reducing the prepper bulge by spreading it out rather than having everything in the bottom of the pocket

I love my Kershaw Cinder. Surprisingly useful blade and the bottle opener is a nice bonus!
I carry and use the Victorinox Classic Alox for years and still love it. Very unobtrusive, lightweight and has multiple features.
I used the Kershaw Cinder as my EDC working in the telco industry. The edge to handle angle allows it to do work beyond what the blade length would suggest. Opening boxes, cutting string, tape and light gauge copper wire, scoring the outer insulation on catV. Touches up easily on the edge of your car door window.
You videos are so entertaining. Just love to watch them. Keep up good work and all the best. I carry my Victorinox Rumbler attached to my keys everyday for many years now and very satisfied with it.
I bought the CRKT scribe for my brother as a gift. He is a real estate agent but not a knife enthusiast and he loves for at his office opening up all his business mail, then he clips it to his messenger bag or brief case and comes home with it. I didn't know if he would end up liking it or not but he did which I'm glad that he is. It's a cool little knife I played around with it before giving it to him and I liked it too.
I asked for key chain knives and got a show on them. Good job David, most excellent. The Boker CLB Keycom is my choice for a great knife on a key chain in Aus8 to boot.
Picked up three Christmas present ideas thanks to you. So I'll be building my points soon.
Never realized so many key chain knives. What excellent Christmas stocking stuffers, even for non knife enthusiast. Thanks for the review.

@@hostilemgtow603That's funny over 400 million people chose to celebrate the birth of Christ on that day, so it does exist.. as to what actually day Christ came to earth as a babe in Bethlehem, not sure. Did church leaders pick this date because it was easier for other cultures to go with it, of course. BUT the holiday does EXIST, and Christians rejoice at the greatest gift God the Father had to offer, his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Dates aren't critical, the heart is.

Thanks David for a great video. I am going to be giving Keychain knives and multi function devices to relatives and my good friends for Christmas 2021. You were very helpful to me. Take it easy my friend and please keep the videos coming.
Yes, finally! I already own one of the knives you reviewed. Probably a first for me. The PS4 Squirt is a a great option, well built and works well on a key chain.
Wow. I have that same tekna blade for probably more than 25yrs now with my keys. Nice to see its still one of the recommended blades. It was very very useful. It is significantly smaller now because of sharpening and I've once broken and fixed the tip. But it is still very nice to have. I didn't even know it's still available. I would love to have a new one and display my old blade for retirement.
My preferred among all those is the Spyderco Ladybug in K390 steel, maybe because in my key ring I got a racing green Manbug in ZDP189 steel and, man, it keeps its sharpness!

You have the hummingbirds in several colors and one in plain grey titanium. The colored one will get scratched a lot on your keychain, the plain titanium one is probably your better choice. It is not really cheap but beside the shape and the damascus steel is beautiful and sharp. And it is probably worth more than your car ;-)

Spyderco Ladybug 3 Hawkbill Salt H1 Steel - Fits firmly in my hand -With keys attached I don't lose it - Hawkbill given the size cuts rope, twine, cardboard excellently - stays sharp - Tip of the hawkbill blade works well for making precise cuts - Sharpens easily with the Spyderco sharpening tools - I used to regularly loose my little knives had this one for many years because of color and keys attached to it. Worthy of consideration
I have the Leatherman Squirt. I love, love, love it. Perfect Keychain knife. Highly recommend.
I am not sure if I agree with the idea of the open back being a positive on this style of knife. It makes it easier for a key or a coin or what have you to slip in there and mess up your edge without you knowing it.

@@bocconom I just did, not my style. But while searching it I find an orange mango one that I’m gonna buy for sure ! I also want the alox tiger orange edition but the fact there is no tooth pick and tweezers is a huge break for me.
The Spyderco Grasshopper loves living in the 5th pocket. A short paracord loop and it is ready to go :)
The Victorinox Rambler has been my choice for my primary EDC knife for many years, and I'm really glad to see KnifeCenter featuring it yet again. I do love the look of the Alox knives, but for my EDC knife, I really do want the toothpick and tweezers. Before the Rambler, I carried a Midnite MiniChamp II, and it was just too bulky. The only things that could improve the Rambler (and the Classic) would be if Victorinox would improve the nail file, which is just really not suitable (too rough) for a lady's nails, and if they would improve the tweezers, as well. The current tweezers are too likely to break off or cut through a hair rather than grip it so it can be successfully pulled. I don't actually carry my Rambler on my keychain, since, as a woman, I always carry a handbag, so I carry a small zipper pouch (about 3" x 5") in my handbag that contains my EDC survival gear.
Just ordered the civivi great video
My friends, you are the barometer that determines what I invest in. Keep up the great work.
been having the gerber key knife hanging from my rear view mirror for over a year now used it many times it sturdy and sharp i love it
So glad I picked up several of those SOG knives back when they still used 440C steel. I had no idea they switched to a garbage steel, that's a real shame.
I have 3 of these. The SOG, Civivi, and the Squirt. I started with the squirt, but I couldn’t get over the fact that the blade doesn’t lock. After that, I used the SOG and it’s been great. It’s basically the same type of knife as a Swiss Army knife, but with a liner lock. I now carry the Civivi, and it’s just about the perfect keychain knife. I also have a 650 lumen flashlight on my keychain. It’s just so handy having these things on my keychain.
Had the SOG for years. Love it

Ladybug3 on my keyring since 2014. I love it.
I carry a boker rescom at my job alongside a knifeless rebar and it's honestly my favorite pair of tools.
If you’re an old-school guy (30+ years carrying), one of the original and few options aside from the Victorinox classic SD, would have been the Gerber LST. It’s an awesome, light weight, locking keychain knife.

Nothing wrong with the Gerber LST but I went with the Buck MiniBuck. Both are American made lockbacks but the Buck comes with a small chain lanyard and keyring attached.
My favorites are that chunky gerber cause it's a stocky little tanto and of course the hummingbird which would be great around the neck.
Kershaw shuffle gets my vote, right on the limit size wise and I love it. Have the cinder, too small for most things.
My weapon of choice is the Nitecore NTK05. It's small, lightweight, and very handy when you need to operate on yourself.
The Kershaw Kapsule is another good one that I find to be very useful as a keychain knife!
i was looking into getting the dapper Klip key chain. pretty cool
Boker USB OTF. Awesome Keychain knife
All great choices. I actually have the Cinder, as well as the Kershaw Diode. The Diode however does not have the bottle opener on the back. I also thought it funny when mentioned the Leatherman Micra, I have one as well. The Gerber Dime is also not a horrible option either. Thank you for another great knife video DCA. I enjoy watching them when I get home and relax from work.
Just ordered the Minichamp in alox. Great companion to my folder when I don't want to carry a larger multitool
My keychain knife is the Leatherman ES4 Squirt, also a discontinued model, but love it for it's wire strippers when installing car stereos.
I got that heart shaped one for my birthday last year and it's actually really nice.
I’ve got a few keychain knives: Kershaw Cinder, Ladybug serrated hawksbill in H1, SAK, Spyderco Spin, Spyderco Cricket, Kershaw Chive. You have omitted my favourite, and probably most expensive:- Fallkniven U4. 22g, lockback blade in SGPS. Zytel handle, it’s 70mm closed with a 53 mm blade. One of the sliciest small knives I possess, it is awesome.
I have the Gerber Keynote & SOG key folder! I like the Spyderco Grasshopper!
I bought a Tekna when they first came out, around 1986. The sheath still has good retention. It's my DC on a belt loop and it's never snagged on anything. So light you don't even know it's there! The top of the blade is flat, so you can push with your thumb on tough stuff. The only downside is edge retention. I use it a lot, so I have to sharpen it every 7-10 days. I keep hoping they come out with a D2 or powder version.
Thanks 👍🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well, I just ordered the Gerber key note!

Been using my Victorinox Rambler (in black) for years. That small Philips comes in handy tightening up screws on sunglasses and eyeglasses quite a bit. And that toothpick is used on a daily bases, along with all the other tools. Of all my other EDC knives and tools, this little SAK is the main character on my keychain that I use most often.

i carry a manager which is basically the rambler with a pen. i really love it and use it quite a lot. Sometimes i want to go smaller, but there's no tool which i don't use often, so it stays on my keychain.
I got that Tekna Xtra Edge at Brookstones in the 1980s. It was my keychain knife all thru the 80's. Still got it somewhere.
Now I have "grasshopper" ........ perfect 😉👍.
I have a SOG brass key knife on my key chain, and I also have a SOG Micron II tanto point that I carry. Nothing fancy, but it works in a pinch.
I have and use the Micro Recon. It's a great little keychain knife!
I’ve been using the bottle butcher and been digging it
I have gone through quite a few key ring knives. And they all seem to come open at some point in the pocket or break or the caps get loose and start coming off on the fix blade. So I decided to go cheap at $10 and bought the Gerber curve. It has been on my key ring now for two years. It holds an edge OK. Always sharp enough to open a box or even cut through a nylon band. So happy with the little blade I have gifted it probably seven times. I think I forgot to mention that the blade locks and also has two little screwdrivers and a bottle opener.
I have a Victorinox Mini-Champ on my keys. As a key ring knife it's tools are used more than the blades. The Leatherman Squirt is a good pick too.
Cold Steel hands down!
Currently rocking the rambler on one set of keys and the roadie on tan other set. Love the rambler, the car and few times I actually had to use the bottle opener was worth the investment
Kershaw Cinder for the win
The Rambler in some diff color options would be awesome.
Love the boker usb on my keychain its super convenient
I actually love my Kershaw cinder
Very nice selection of keychain knives. I think a Tops ALRT 01 would be a good addition to the list.
Thanks to you David, I now own over 50 knives.
My keychain knife is a folding scalpel. Pretty much got that just as a craft knife since the blades were cheaper than utility blades where I live. I didn't buy it as primary EDC but it's so small, it ends up in my pocket more often than the Boker and Opinel folders that I got for EDC.
The Victorinox classic and Christy companion are still the best there has ever been and will ever be.
Buck makes a great keychain knife. I use it frequently.
The Kershaw Cinder is great as a fidget device
Super cool 😎😍
I have the squirt and a Sak classic, I need one of those alox minichamps
I like that lionsteel knife
Samior knives offer VG10 and D2 keychain knives. Ball bearing flippers, framelock, and tanto or drop point blades. 1.4-1.45" blade length
The ladybug is huge!! You forgot to include the Spyderco Bug!! About half the size of the lady bug 👌🏼👌🏼
LOVE the Rambler; i use it as a 5th pocket carry. Wish it came in Alox though
The Ruike S21 is my go-to keychain knife.
i have the classic SD on my keychain. another knife to add to the list would be the Buck 283 Nano Bantam!
Obviously a good one
Red-handled MiniChamp with tweezers and pen is the way to go.
I carry a black alox mini champ on my keys. I always find it handy. 👍🤗
Kershaw Pub
The Al Mar stinger is the perfect knife to carry at school.
I’m on my third leatherman micra. Carried them for 25 years.
Whilst not a keychain knife, I carry a tiny/mini Texan Toothpick (RR Stag). It's great and much stronger than it it looks. It weighs nothing and cuts superbly well. I can get nearly 4 full fingers on it and so don't need any help with the length.
Gerber Ultralight for me !
That mini elementum though
Don't know I they're still making it but i have a statgear slinger on my keys and it's great. D2 warncliff (with small belly) blade and 3 finger (med sized hand) hold with steel frame lock handle. The slinger replaced a SOG micron 2
Cute things here Probably we can add the Cold Steel mini tuff lite in this list :)
Used to have a Spyderco bug on my keychain but now I now I carry a NexTool TaoBar, it replace the Lady bug and a countycomm prybar and is easier to open. I carry a Wave to so I always have a knife to. Also the Micra isn't discontinued, they even sell it on the leatherman website.
For my Keychain the Victorinox is the knife of choice 😁
minichamp all day, bro. i do like that mini civivi. Thinking about starting a Civivi collection now. I only have 1.
I have a Spyderco ladybug in H-1 RUSTPROOF STEEL have taken it diving/snorkeling...also have carried a Swiss army victorinox SD on my keychain since my dad gave me my first one in 1978!!!!. Never without it.. most used features are the scissors.. the screwdriver tip on the nail file..(can you use for both standard and Phillips in a pinch) and the tweezers along with the main blade.. another great keychain knife I'm not sure if MINI has been discontinued.. COLD STEEL TOUGH LITE MINI....
Id probably go for the lionsteel
