❤️Hello friends, Kashmiri Food is just something that is so different, so delicious and so inviting that it takes you straight to Heaven on Earth. Be it vegetarian or non vegetarian, each and every dish just amazes you. We were fortunate to visit a really amazing restaurant in Gurugram with the sweetest possible name 'Matamaal' meaning 'Naani Ka Ghar' or Grandmothers Home. I met one of the sweetest of hosts amongst so many that I have come across during this food journey. Thank you Mrs. Nalini for an excellent experience of Kashmiri Cuisine. The care that has been taken to do complete justice to this amazing cuisine deserves a special mention. Each and every dish was just an example of the efforts that the owners and their staff had taken to make it so special.
Matamaal has a great variety of Kashmiri food, I think that it is a restaurant where one can experience the entire essence of this amazingly delicious cuisine. They serve thalis too that are a great combination of food from the kitchens of Kashmiri pandits and Kashmiri Muslims.
Please do not miss out on their desserts, specially phirni, that is absolutely mind-blowing.
They have branches in Gurugram and Pune for now, but are slowly and gradually expanding. We wish them all the best because such restaurants deserve all the luck and good wishes, as they tirelessly work to make their cuisine a cuisine that is truly incredible and unforgettable.
So again a big thanks to Mrs. Nalini and the entire staff of Matamaal, you really made me feel like I am at my Naani Ka Ghar.
